The Alliance of Imperial Remnants was created from the remnants of the Imperial Remnant forces (Eriadu Authority, Pentastar Alignment, Zsinj's Empire, Greater Maldrood). These forces refused to leave the territory of the Galactic Empire on the order of the Emperor's envoy, but the leaders of all these factions were killed, and the main forces were defeated by the First Orden. The senior officers decided to unite the remnants of the forces and fight back the New Republic and the First Orden in order to restore the Galactic Empire.
