Steelrising... spiders does it once again an enigmatic mix of p.n.03
and more popular melee based games set in a sort of terminator during
the le Roi Soleil, this package contains some tweaks realized with
reshade and some customized shaders.

The reshade tone map reduces the rather heavy darkening and a
'poor mans form of tessellation' gives the assets (characters, environment, etc)
a bit of relief and more definition.
Small note due to the excessive use of brightness the effects of
these tweaks comes precariously close to simply increasing the
gamma in game, did the best I could but still, please see screenshots.

- reworked tonemap added a bit of fake ambient light (orange)
  preserves contrast a bit better.

- install

Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder of steelrising,
the folder which contains steelrising.exe
note: for updating to v1.1 do the same.

- optional install

If you do not like using unverified dll's you can download
download reshade from
https://reshade.me/  (preferably version 4.9.1)
copy the dxgi.dll (64bit version) to the install folder then copy the
remaining files and 'reshade' folder to the install folder of the game.

- verify

Press 'F1' in game to toggle reshade shaders on or off
or press 'shift F2' and use reshades gui to toggle
shaders of. Toggling originalbeforesplit and splitscreen_tech
on gives a vertical splitscreen (right side shaders on left
side shaders of)

- tested

Tested with version 1.0.9 of steelrising on win 10(1903) / nvidia 1050gtx ti

- performance

reshade gpu usage (game capped at 35 frames)
without - clock 1500Mhz gpu usage ~90%
with       - clock 1500Mhz gpu usage ~93%
approximately 3% increase (1050gtx ti on win 10(1903))
max gpu: 1750Mhz gpu usage 100%
note: vram usage is excessive!

- further tweaking

Press 'shift F2' and use reshades gui to toggle shaders of.
Note the shaders contained in this package are rather
specific mix and matching with other shaders might cause
issues.

- tips

I would strongly suggest to run this game from a SSD drive
considering the size of the textures.
