Expanded Interior Decor introduces a variety of new furniture and decorative objects for players to personalize their homes and outdoor spaces. It focuses on assets previously exclusive to NPC houses, gardens, and other in-game locations and makes them available for player use.

As a user of other custom furniture mods, I encountered some issues with awkward bounding boxes, causing unwanted clipping and overlap, and some objects lacked proper functionality, such as rugs not acting as rugs or tables not functioning as tables. To avoid these issues, I've painstakingly manually redefined each piece of furniture in this mod to ensure all objects function exactly as expected. Plus, each item gets a descriptive name for easy searching, and a fun little description, just because!

Disclaimers:
  • This mod features only assets from the base game. However, I've also added some unused in-game decor that I've encountered and slightly edited some objects, such as cleared variants of tables and shelves, or separating set pieces for more flexibility.
  • This mod is built upon Custom Furniture and Items, and I extend sincere appreciation to its creator! Their work makes this kind of modding a (relative) breeze.
  • While both this mod and Sun Haven Assets As Decorations extend in-game furniture to players, they feature entirely separate sets of objects. I encourage you to explore both!

How to Obtain the New Items:
  • Creative Mode - Decoration Catalogue (Recommended): If you have the 'Creative Mode' mod installed, you can access a comprehensive decoration catalogue anywhere in the game.
  • Cheat Enabler (up-to-date / original versions): If you have 'Cheat Enabler' installed, you can use the command '!give [item ID/name] [quantity]' in the chat box to add items directly to your inventory.
  • Lewis at the Hardware Store: For those who prefer in-game methods, purchase the new items from Lewis at the Hardware Store. Let's be honest: after customizing your house exterior, the guy doesn't get much business. Plus, this keeps frequently used shops like the General Store uncluttered.

Installation:

To fellow custom furniture modders: this mod currently uses item IDs 44500 to 45000. Checking all the existing mods to avoid ID conflict was a hassle, so here's my heads-up to save you some time.
