About this mod
This is the inverse of the union level mod where it will stay stuck at level 1. Even at the beginning of the game, the union level will be at 1, and the player will never be able to grow. Valera has become Neverland in that sense! This mod is meant to serve as a challenge.

This is the inverse of the union level mod where it will stay stuck at level 1. Even at the beginning of the game, the union level will be at 1, and the player will never be able to grow. Valera has become Neverland in that sense! This mod is meant to serve as a challenge.
There are also difficulty options to the mod. A Hard mode folder has been added which removes the Recruit command on classes which aren't unique ones like Lord, Princess or Ranger. No more recruiting units in battle to alleviate being underleveled until the late game!
If you have issues with the mod, post here, the Moogles and Mods Discord server, or either one I'm affiliated with, which can both be found through a link to my Linktree on the readme file of the mod.
How to install
1) Extract the zip anywhere you like.
2) Go into X\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tactics Ogre Reborn\Data\event\chapter and move the following files into a safe place (not the directory where you extracted the zip):
- chapter_1.dat
- chapter_2a.dat
- chapter_2b.dat
- chapter_3a.dat
- chapter_3b.dat
- chapter_3c.dat
- chapter_4.dat
- chapter_dlc.dat
(X will be the partition which has Program Files (x86))
3) Paste any files which aren't battle_data_release.dat from either the Easy mode or Hard mode folder from the extracted zip into the chapter directory. You may need to cut the old files from the chapter directory to avoid having to rename them all.
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3, but put battle_data_release.dat from X\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tactics Ogre Reborn\Data\battle somewhere safe, and put the unzipped battle_data_release.dat from either Easy mode or Hard mode in its place.
5) Enjoy!
Issues
This will overwrite my music mod. If people liked that mod and want to use it with this one, let me know and I'll provide an alternative build.
Credits
ChaoticBrave: For making the mod of course!
Gibbed: For producing the tools for decrypting and encrypting the .dat files. Without them, this mod wouldn't have been possible. They were also able to interpret the dreaded .xlc files this game uses.
Coffee Potato: For requesting this mod and the hard mode for it.
LuckyEddy: For creating the Reworked mod, which you should check out by the way, which allowed me to narrow what I needed to edit to make Hard mode feasible.
