About this mod
This mod recompiles the game's executable files to run with the latest available version of Microsoft's DirectX Shader Compiler, implementing the latest patches and fixes, potentially leading to less stuttering and improved stability.
- Permissions and credits
To install, simply drag and drop all files into the game's folder.
Backup files are available.
If you are still experiencing stuttering issues, it's recommended to also disable DirectStorage, which appears to negatively affect the system's power consumption, CPU and GPU temperatures, and it may also cause crashes on some configurations.
In order to do that, search for the files "dstorage.dll" and "dstoragecore.dll" inside the game's folder and rename them to something like "dstorage.bak" and "dstoragecore.bak". This method prevents them from being loaded when you launch the game again.
