About this mod
Adds the detailed world of Lockwood to your list of worlds. A small town settled far within the mountains and filled with Sims both eccentric and traditional. Each with their own drama, their stories and their issues. This creation requires a package mod file for custom Rabbit Holes, but is otherwise CC free. It also comes with an optional save.

Elizabeth Marrow: Good morning, all you wild cats, and welcome to the LCR; Lockwood County Radio. I am, and always will be Lizzie, and that fact ain't gonna change.
Elizabeth Marrow: So, as of late, I've heard a lot of people ask me just how I like our little town so far, and I must say it's grown on me.
Elizabeth Marrow: It might not have the clubs of San Myshuno or the music scene of Bridgeport, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its charms.
Elizabeth Marrow: I mean, just yesterday I climbed up to the tower to adjust the signal and oh boy, that view!
Elizabeth Marrow: And then you have the shopping district and the theater, the book store and so many neat ol' places for a wild party.
Elizabeth Marrow: I am getting ahead of myself, though, so here's a couple kick-ass tracks for all you lovely listeners. Enjoy, and keep that dial where it is; not that there many other stations here.

AN INTRODUCTION

Welcome folks, to the download page of Lockwood. It's been around a year or so since I first had the idea of creating a custom Sims 3 world inspired by the various American rural towns surrounded by pine forests. An idea that has now become reality, all while keeping itself grounded in the Sims lore, and built entirely by hand.
It has taken me tremendous energy and time to do this, and I truly hope you love this town as much as I loved making it. It was definitely what I would call a passion project. The town includes carefully sculpted terrain, a good amount of community and residential lots (With the only types not included being standalone bars, a working grocery store and a graveyard) , apartments, a wide array of Sims, and plenty of relationships, drama and secrets between them.
You will not be bored if you like detailed storytelling

A LITTLE BIT OF BACKSTORY

Initially founded by a Peteran priest, Lockwood stands alone for miles, and it is for this very reason that it has earned its namesake. Its primary source of business is its lumber mill, but new stores and factories are ever-growing, and the town is ever-shifting. Especially now that a new DJ has arrived. Taking up the old and rusty station, and giving it a brand new look. Will this airwave-riding punk inspire new ideas or be shut down by the locals? The pressure sure is building up, and people are divided.

REQUIREMENTS

When designing Lockwood, I initially wanted to make it CC free, but that was in the end not possible as some of the rabbit holes that I was using had their names based on the locations they were made for. I had to make some compromises. So without further ado, the things that you will need to run Lockwood are:
-All expansion packs (no stuff packs needed)
-Earth Day sims 3 store item (FREE)
-One included package (CC) file that has the retextured, renamed and translated rabbit holes inside.
For those wishing to immerse themselves even further, I've also included a save game file, which will present you with additional immersion and some quality of life improvements. The save file will:
-Make certain store owners in lore actually operate their own store's registers as opposed to having someone run them for them (Without the save file, the owners just work in the business career).
-Place graves and ghosts where they are meant to be.
-Make the one tomb in the world spawn treasure as intended.

INSTALLATION

Step 1: Double click the Sims3pack file and follow the installation of the world.
Step 2: Copy the files in the Mods folder into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3
Step 3 (Optional, but recommended): Copy the files in the Saves folder into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3
Step 4: Explore the town and all its wonders.
