This is my very first mod, that is truly a 'mod' for The Sims 4.
How to install?
Copy the ts4script file to the 'My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods' directory. Script Mods must be enabled in the Game Options menu for the mod to work.
Savegame Compatibility:
This mod doesn't add any custom content, and doesn't stick to savegames. However, removing this mod will result in all overly aged Elders dying instantly!
What this mod does? Why is this necessary?
Contrary to the Sims 3, or even the popular belief, the life span of Sims and Pets in Sims 4 is fixed. This means, that in a vanilla game, Elders will die within 48 Sim hours after having their age bar completely filled up with 100% certainty. In case of having multiple Elders (eg. player-made households or premade households) with an exact same age, this will happen in an eerily simultaneous way, with all Elders dying together.
This mod eliminates this certainty, and adds a random factor. Now, you won't know when your Elderly Sims or Pets will die, as this random factor is not visible anywhere, and can even change upon certain game change events.
Please note, that this random factor comes into play after all other lifetime bonus days (granted by traits, aspirations, life states, drinks, etc.) have been outlived.
