Translation disclaimer: I can only speak two languages (English and German) fluently, but I still tried to apply text changes to all other languages that are supported by default by the game too so you can enjoy the game with my mod in your preferred language. To accomplish this, I just changes small things in the games translation files, like the numbers for points, and checked similar texts if they look almost identical to verify that it still makes sense. Therefore, the only things I actually adjusted right now are the texts that pop up when you hover over some of the progress bars. If there is a demand for adjusting other texts as well to make the texts reflect the changes RePerked introduces, I may try to adjust some of them as well, but I will likely need help. So if you spot any mistakes in the texts or want to help me translate some stuff, just report where you found the incorrect text and what would be the correct one and I will adjust/fix it ASAP!

General Information

RePerked aims to lift some limits and restrictions of the game when it comes to some interactions and perks you can obtain throughout the game. The goal is to lessen the grind needed to unlock these perks and interactions, remove/reduce restrictions that come along with them and give you more freedom of choice to how these unlocks affect your sims.

The mod is split into different modules and there are two reasons why I did this: First, the complete RePerked mod needs quite a few content packs to work. By splitting it into modules, you can just skip the modules which require packs you do not own. The second reason is choice. If you only want part of the changes the mod introduces, you can only install the modules which change that part of the game. For those who want everything, a "complete edition" is available too, to reduce the amount of downloads and files in your mod folder.

RePerked - Fame
Requires: The Sims 4: Get Famous

Fame Point gains per celebrity level have been increased so that your sims will obtain enough to unlock every perk they can unlock at their current celebrity and reputation level. However, there is one exception: Once they reach the highest celebrity level, you will notice that your sim needs one more fame point to truly unlock everything. This is because the "World-Famous Celebrity"-Aspiration also gives your sim a fame point once completed, so they'll still need this one if you want them to really unlock every celebrity perk!

Quirk Slots will remain locked and therefore never fill with any quirks. Due to the way the quirks work, there wasn't a good way to implement choices on how many quirks slots will be unlocked and which quirks should fill them.

The texts / translations I modified are limited to only the progress bars so that you can see how many points your sims are about to get. Additionally, I removed the quirk slot unlocks since you will never unlock any.

Alternatives and complimentary mods:
  • No Fame Quirks - The mod is incompatible with RePerked - Fame but you can use it as an alternative if you just want to avoid quirks without changes to the fame point acquisition.

RePerked - Magic
Requires: The Sims 4: Realm of Magic

Talent Point gains for spellcaster sims have been increased while still respecting the magical bloodline traits. This means, sims with the trait will gain enough points to unlock every perk once they reach the highest rank and fill the knowledge bar one more time. Sims without the perk need to fill the bar 7 more times after reaching the highest rank. This gives all sims a good boost when it comes to mastering the arcane arts without making the magical bloodline traits too weak to care about.

No texts / translations have been modified since the game never mentions the actual amount of talent points gained anywhere (as far as I'm aware of).

RePerked - Vampires
Requires: The Sims 4: Vampires

The power points your sims obtain for each milestone and rank up are increased. At the beginning, your sims will only miss a few points to already unlock everything they can at their current rank. Closer to the highest rank, you'll notice that your sims actually have more points than they can spend on the currently available powers. And once your sims reach the highest rank, they'll need to level up (fill the xp bar) once more to have enough power points to unlock all powers.

Weakness point gains, on the other hand, are completely removed. And since your sims will never get any points to spend anywhere, the game will never force you to select any weaknesses! The mod will also sets the costs of each weakness to 0, so if you want to, you can now freely choose as many as you want, even all of them if your sims are up for the challenge! In conclusion, you'll get the full freedom of choice on how many powers and weaknesses your vampire sims have, but they still have to make it trough all the ranks first and level up once more to truly have access to everything at once. The only limit, besides the ranks, that is still in place, is that incompatible powers and weaknesses are still unavailable, otherwise things would get messy.

The only texts / translations the mod changes right now are the texts that pop up when you hover over the vampire xp bar to correctly reflect the point gain changes I've made, which means it should display the actual amount of power points your sims will gain once they reach the next milestone and never mention the weakness points since your sims will never obtain any.

Alternatives and complimentary mods:
  • Airianna's Vampire Tweaks - This mod tweaks a few more things about vampires, fixing some traits that some would expect to work but actually don't and help NPC vampire sims stay alive. I highly recommend installing it as well, it is 100% compatible with RePerked!
  • Vampires Weakness Freedom - This mod does the same thing as I did with the weaknesses. Therefore, it is incompatible with RePerked - Vampires! Instead, it's a good alternative if you just want the freedom of choice for the weaknesses without any modifications to the power point system. Or you can use it with the next mod in this list to get a even more powerful version of RePerked - Vampires.
  • Vampires Free Perks - Once again, this mod is is incompatible with RePerked - Vampires but an alternative to the power point system of RePerked - Vampires. With it, all powers will be completely free, so you can unlock all of them as soon as your Sims obtain the required rank. Together with the previous mod in this list, your Sims will have the potential to become even more powerful, faster.

RePerked - Werewolves
Requires: The Sims 4: Werewolves

Ability Point gains have been doubled (from 1 to 2) and you start out with 3 instead of 2 points, that's it. This will significantly reduce the grind needed to unlock everything. Dormant Abilities have to be unlocked as usually.

For the texts / translations I had to ask an AI for help because you will only get 1 Point by default and now you will get 2 Points. I didn't know which languages have plural forms and how to translate them. If some of them are wrong, as always, feel free to reach out and I will fix them asap!
