You can set your custom FOV values by editing pilot_base.set and titan_base.set with text editor.
Installation:
1. Download Northstar (Nothstar.release.vX.X.X.zip)
2. Extract it's contents to your Titanfall 2 main folder
3. Put Viewmodel.FOV folder (not archive!) in \Titanfall2\R2Northstar\mods
4. Launch the game using NorthstarLauncher.exe
Additional notes:
If you want to launch Northstar with Steam, use-northstar command line argument in steam launch options.
If you get Authentification Error when trying to play single player, open ns_startup_args.txt located in your Titanfall 2 main folder, then paste this command in a new row: +ns_auth_allow_insecure 1
Also go to \Titanfall2\R2Northstar\mods\Northstar.CustomServers\mod\cfg and edit autoexec_ns_server.cfg. Set ns_auth_allow_insecure to 1.

Working multiplayer with server browser and much easier mod installation without messing with game's files.
