About this mod
3000+ designs for those of you holding out and using 1.5.14(previous version) still. Meant to speed up the campaign. There are quasi-historic ships, attempts at proposed ships being realized, all kinds of designs. Some were created in a fever dream or to see how far I could push the limit. None are massive meme ships.

Instructions: Open up the zip file and put everything into your designs folder. By
default, in Windows this should be something like the below:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\LocalLow\Game Labs\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts\Designs
The original objective of these designs was to massively speed up the 1910 campaign start time, reduce the time spent between turns, and to see all kinds of unusual ships that are harder to plan for and to allow for more varied campaigns. I expanded the range to approximately 1900-1930 over time, but 1907 to 1920'ish is the focus . There is one drawback to this many designs, the time to load ships in the editor is proportional to how many designs there are for that country/year and this can make browsing designs extremely slow. IF this is an issue for you either don't use these or get used to shuffling designs in and out of the folder and/or running LN2 on your overclocked top of the line CPU. Sometime the game may have an issue and create an error with certain parts (primarily tower) and load them correctly at other times - it seems to be random or related to a memory/heap/buffer/queue issue as best I can tell.
Don't use these designs if you have concerns... of any kind. I haven't made anything what I would consider patently offensive, something may trigger you - it's up to you to accept the situation as it is: my brain leaking my preferences, weird words, patterns, what-have-you into designs - it's simple going to happen. I'm not planning on redoing these designs to the newest version of the game, maybe if there's a conversion utility but that really depends on how much work needs to be done - I have a full time job and this is only done when my sanity and health allows me to do it. Please be considerate of my situation.
What I hope for you is that these make your UAD experience better, and maybe just maybe you have some fun moments and learn some design tricks or are inspired to rethink your designs. If you do, I've love to hear it but don't feel obligated.
As far as campaign load times go, my testing on different PCs with varying specs shows that 1890 is +/- 1 minute with or without the designs, It doesn't seem to affect the time as much as quality. 1900-1920 benefits greatly, 1930+ doesn't really benefit as much from having more designs as far as loading times are concerned although the designs will have been made by an actual human so there's that. On a twelve year old PC (i7-3770, 32GB, 980 GTX, SATA SSD) I've seen load times reduced from 15+ minutes down to 2 minutes for 1910 with designs present.
Credits: One design is by Tex of the BlackPantsLegion, and it's a treasure. To be clear, I only mirrored what his design was, I in no way have his specific files or anything like that. It's five years later than it should be for the design, but better late than never. The design includes "by Tex" in the name so you know what it is. Those who hail from Cargonia will already know what ship I'm referring to. If you like it, thank him and not me - and better yet throw some currency at a good charity.
Enjoy and thanks !
