    Hi @Margmas,

Hammertime has a bug right now that causes a massive frame drop\delay when selecting the hammer, changing tabs in the crafting menu, and building pieces.  It also puts crafting items from one tab, into all of the tabs.   I know it hasn't been updated yet, but I just wanted to report it.  I've narrowed it down to this mod.  Sucks because it's one of the most useful mods we have on our server, but it's game breaking.

In any case, please send your log file from BepInEx/LogOutput.log, uploaded via a third Party service like pastebin because Nexus doesn't have a file upload.

I'm not aware of performance issues with HammerTime. However, some piece mods are known to cause performance issues. You can use https://thunderstore.io/c/valheim/p/Azumatt/ManagerDetector/ to find mods using PieceManager updated before 1.2.8 (5th November), which have the bug. Please make sure to exclude those mods or ask the authors to update.

If the performance issue still occurs and is definitely causes by HammerTime, please send your mod list (preferably via a Thunderstore/r2mm profile code if you use the mod manager) so I can profile the game performance.

What do you mean by it puts crafting items from one tab to all tabs?

anyone experiencing crazy fps drops when using build hammer now? if you hit f2 in game you can see your fps then pull out hammer and see the drop, i lose 2/3s of my frames when using hammer, trying to figure this out but may need a modder to help me write a modding solution.

This is duo to a bug in a dependency of some mods. You can use https://thunderstore.io/c/valheim/p/Azumatt/ManagerDetector/ to find mods using PieceManager updated before 1.2.8 (5th November) and ask the authors to update their mods

Hi Margmas! Thank you very much for this modification. It's great but I have a huge problem with the fact that I have 46 mods and many of them add lots of new elements to the build. Some of them go beyond the default columns and rows. Is there any solution to be able to scroll down? Or how to expand the build menu?

Hey, thanks! You can use SearsCatalog for this, it's the only build expansion mod that currently works as far as I'm aware. It adds a scrollbar to view all the pieces in one tab.

I apologise for taking so long to reply. When I wanted to write you back I forgot before other things xD. So now, I purposely got out of bed when I was reminded again. What you recommended worked as expected! Thank you very much mate! You are great. God bless you!

It would be nice if you could sort items better when you combine Categories

You have a mod that's not updated for Ashlands. Make sure to update Jotunn to 2.20.0 and all other mods. If this is the case and the issue still exists, the mod is not updated yet, doesn't use Jotunn and is adding pieces

Hello, I was using this mod along with CookieMilk's BuildPieces, and it was working fine, I then added another mod by CookieMilk called ElementalFalls, and it removed all the BuildPieces categories. Now, at first I thought this was just some odd bug, maybe I could bonk some setting somewhere to make Hammer Time re-register the BuildPieces menus, though it occurs to me it could be a more novel issue. I don't know the technicalities of it, but I believe both BuildPieces and ElementalFalls use the same hammer item that's shared between CookieMilk's mods, and so I suspect that could be causing confusion with the way Hammer Time works. Do you think that's a potential or expected shortcoming of how Hammer Time works, or should Hammer Time still be able to handle such a scenario (, in which case I may wanna look for other causes of the problem)?

Hi Margmas!  I love Hammer Time so much.  At first I appreciated it just for the ability to not carry half a dozen different hammer-things all the time.  Then I realized the config file could let me rearrange all the categories and such.  My OCD tendencies thank you so much!

If you're open to feedback about interactions with other mods, I have one quirk to share.  Odin's Kingdom uses its own build tool that Hammer Time correctly removes, and all the build pieces come over to the hammer nicely.  That's all good.  What's weird is that this mod also has a custom Repair Scroll piece that you'd normally use the same way we always use the Repair Hammer.  It's coming over to the hammer, resulting in a redundant and confusing second repair option as the second entry on all tabs.  Is there any way to remove this please?

If it's too risky or just a pain, don't sweat it.  We can totally live with just ignoring the scroll.  I'm just asking because my OCD asked me too.  :)

    Love your work!  Thank you!

Hi, thanks for enjoying the mod! Odin's Kingdom has some configuration built in, maybe the repair scroll can be disabled there? Otherwise you can use a mod like WackysDatabase to disable the scroll, it allows for finer control over recipes and pieces.
Maybe I'll improve the dectection for this in the future, there's already some kind of handling for repair pieces. Currently I'm working on some other mods, so this will get a low priority.

Hi, and thanks for the reply!  Odin's doesn't offer a config for the repair scroll, and disabling the piece with Wacky's isn't working.  All good though, carry on!  Thanks!

i play on a dedicated server with friends, and I have the Hammertime mod, but i didn't put it on the server. it says it's client side not server side, but it will just randomly stop working. the extra tabs just don't show up in the hammer. do I need it on the server too? Or is there some other issue that might cause this?

yea, if I log out and back in it no longer works. I have to quite to desktop, remove the mod and reinstall it and it works again until I clock out again.

This is now fixed in the latest release (0.3.8). The issues was relogging without a restart caused the categories to not apply again, a reinstall shouldn't have any effect.

This should be fixed with 0.3.6 now, because some characters arent't allowed in a BepInEx config file section the mod initialization could fail with certain mod combinations
