About this mod
This mod enhances the functionality of the ballista in Valheim, giving you more control over its targeting behavior making it safer for you and your tamed creatures.
- Permissions and credits
When enabled, the Safe Ballista mod introduces a new "Safe Mode" for your ballista, allowing you to fine-tune its targeting parameters.
Targeting States:
All: The ballista will not target any players or tamed creatures. This is the default state when the mod is enabled.
Players: The ballista will target everything except for players.
Pets: The ballista will target everything except for tamed creatures.
None: The ballista will target everything, just like the vanilla game. This is the default state when the mod is disabled.
You will be able to identify the ballista's current targeting state when you hover over it with your mouse
Console Commands:
You can control the Safe Ballista mod using the following console commands (press F5 to open the console):
SafeBallista.Enable true/false: Enables or disables the mod. When disabled, the ballista reverts to its default behavior (targeting everything).
SafeBallista.TargetPlayer true/false: Allows or disallows the ballista to target players when the mod is enabled.
SafeBallista.TargetTamed true/false: Allows or disallows the ballista to target tamed creatures when the mod is enabled.
Configuration File: All settings can also be adjusted manually from the configuration file.
