Hello, i want to know if there is a way to set the starting night time to set the sun fall later than 6pm for like 8 or 9 pm ? I did set my wakeup timer at 5, i have the sun rising at 6, and i have my daytimerduration to 60mns
it does work, you just go to CFG file in /valheim/BePinEx/configs, go to timescale file and change the last lines, you have to activate it, it is disabled by default on false, you have to write true and set your timedayduration below.
Hello, i just want to say a big THANK YOU for this mod, this is really the most basic thing you should have as option on a hardcore survival game like this one. Though so, i did set up my Day duration time to 90 minutes, i was at day 60, and when i instal the mod and activate it in the cfg file, it brings me back to day 20, but nothing has changed, and i dont think the number of days have much impact on the game since it follows your scaling workbenches levels and progresses with invasions and things. Just so you know this is the only issue that should be looked for in case of. Endorsed, great work.
Could anyone explain to me how to achieve a 2 hour(120 min) day/night cycle with 15hr's/daylight & 9hr's/nighttime? I'd like daytime to start at 5:30 a.m. and night to start at 8:30 p.m. if possible.
I guess I'm dumber than I thought cause' I can't figure it out. lol
How do I use this mod? I've installed it, and tried figuring it out myself. Unfortunately the explanation given on the main description page of this mod is highly confusing to the point I'm beating my head against the wall tryina figure out how to get my desired settings.
I want to have each day in my Solo Valheim World be 45 Minutes long, with 30 minutes daytime and 15 minutes nighttime. My issue is that when using the official BepInEx ConfigurationManager, I have an option to just set the total day's time to 45 minutes, this causes the world to travel back in time to Day 0 at like 4:00p. When I tried to figure it out on my own the explanation on how to set up the advancedMode points was at best confusing, and at worst incomprehensible to somebody with my level of knowledge regarding how to tweak mod settings (which is next to none)
If anybody can help me out, I would very much appreciate it!
Does this mod work with a dedicated server? Was using the day cycle mod but it wouldn't let me sleep or repair anymore. Will this mod cause the same issues? Thanks
So we wanted to set the daytime to 60 minutes with 45 minutes of day and 15 of night. unfortunately, this doesn't work for some reason. Any clue on how to set this right?
I should begin by thanking you for the creation of this mod, for I believe it will do exactly what I need if other comments are to be believed. That is, I wish to extend the length of a game day from thirty minutes to two hours, preferably with an equal amount of day and night but I will settle for the games ratio if I must. But yeah, thank you for making this. The only question I have is what exactly do I need to manipulate in order to get my desired outcome? Is it just setting dayDurationMinutes to 120 clicking to enable the dayDurationAdjustmentEnabled and calling it a finished?, or do I need to fiddle with any of the other values? Sorry to sound dense, but I do not understand what any of the other options are even allowing me to change, except for perhaps the wakeUpHour as the title sounds intuitive enough for a layman.
If you wish to preserve daylight proportions from vanilla - set timePointDayHour to 6 and timePointRealMinute to 18 (given desired 120 min total day length) So 120 = midnight-to-sunrise (18 min )+ sunrise-to-sunset(84 min) + sunset-to-midnight(18 min)
Awesome, thanks again! Real quick though, while punching in the aforementioned values into their respective boxes, I have found that the timePointRealMinute can only be set as high as 14, meaning I can't set its value to the desired 18. Otherwise, I was able to take timePointDayHour from 7 to 6 successfully as instructed. Is this functioning as intended, given I was unable to adequately replicate your instructions?
Uh, yes, those "reasonable default/max values" appear to not be suitable for everyone - max value check replaces validation for "~time point should not be higher than half of a total daylength" . So if you are using BepInEx.ConfigurationManager - it's sliders will block you, but you can always set values directly in a config file.
Honestly, I think your mod is not working correctly. I have followed your post and set timePointDayHour to 6 and timePointRealMinute to 18 to achieve 120 min total day length, and the results are unexpected. Daylight runs at vanilla speed (maybe faster but not sure), and nighttime runs very slow. Not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly. Any advice would be helpful. Cheers!

desired 120 min total day length)
So 120 = midnight-to-sunrise (18 min )+ sunrise-to-sunset(84 min) + sunset-to-midnight(18 min)
