Installing
Q ) Will I be banned for using Reshade?
A ) The developers have previously said it should be fine, just make sure to download reshade without addon support.
Q ) How heavy is the hit to performance?
A ) It will depend on your computer and whether you use the medium or high preset. Personally, my FPS halves with the medium preset on a 6700xt GPU.
Q ) What if I'm unhappy with a part of the reshade?
A ) Documentation on what each setting does for the shaders used in this preset can be found here for Launchpad and here for RTGI.
- Install Reshade normally
- Go into your Warframe directory (??\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe)
- Right click "dxgi.dll" and click properties, then set to "Read-only"
- Extract iMMERSE zip and drag "Shaders" and "Textures" to the "reshade-shaders" folder in the game directory
- Extract the .ini preset file to the game directory too
- Once in-game, press home on your keyboard, click skip tutorial, and near the top of the menu, change from the default preset to "iMMERSE_preset(Medium/High).ini"
