Note: this mod works with the astardes overhaul 3.0 mod.
This mod builds upon the current system to restore armor, wich, in my opinion, was crap due to it being made of tissue paper. With this implementation, finishers will not only restore your contested health, but also grant you extra HP. The amount its proportional to enemy, with fodder gratting 5 HP, elite 15 and mini bosses and bosses going all the way up to 50. Furthermore, regular kills also give you some little amounts oif armor back. This aims to create a more agressive playstyle, true to a astardes, you don't fall back to get armor, you push on and feed of the death of the imperium's enemies.

Instalation:

  • Download my mod;
  • replace the files in the game's base diretory.

If you wish to use it with the astardes overhaul, download and install that first. Then my mod, and replace the files

Intalation for losse files and merging instructions:
  • unpack the default_other.pak existing the game's main diretory(in a separate folder from the game's main diretory). For unpack I use 7-zip file manager;
  • copy the losse files into the diretories;
  • repack with 7-zip file. In order to do that: select all the content from the diretory, click on "add", chosse the zip format, rename the file to "default_other.pak", click ok to compress;
  • download pakcahcer if you dont have it;
  • drag the new compressed .pak file into the pakcacher.exe, this will give you default_other_cache.pak (don't skip this step, the game needs it to work);
  • Put both files in the game's main diretory;
  • Note: this must be done individually for the client_pc and server_pc libraries

In theory, the losse files should be okay to merge with pretty much any other mod since its only some parameters in a very specific library. However unexpected compatibility issues could appear, so always make a backup of your original .pak files
