I can't comprehend the installation instructions for this mod.

The archive contains a folder named "ssl" which is usually used to replace the ssl folder inside of the default_other.pak for either the server or client side folders, and then running batcacher or the older compiler.

The mod works for me if I replace the ssl folder in my default_other.pak file under my client_pc folder. There is NO reference to this in the installation instructions, and if I didn't already know how to install 90% of mods for this game with the above method, I would have no clue what is going on here.

Like the previous post mentions, there are three possible folders referenced in the current installation instructions, which makes it even more confusing.

Sorry for the rant, but this is just straight up wrong and bad.

Thank you for the instructions, it works now.

Step 1. replaces ssl folder in my default_other.pak file under my client_pc folder (I open them in 7 zip and replace them in there)

Step 2. download and run batcacher (links: https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40000spacemarine2/mods/158?tab=description)
  2. Does this get installed into,
    common\Space Marine 2
    or
    common\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root
    or
    common\Space Marine 2\server_pc\root
I think there is bad wording in your description. I'm no novice mod user. To me root install folder in common\Space Marine 2 but you made comments about overwriting files, so is it the actually root folder in my client install folder?
Anyways thanks for the cool mod, will try different folders until it works. But just a heads up for other users.

      Yes :)
As long as they don't make UI changes to the crosshairs, it will always work.

Crosshair is unusable for me without this mod, thanks! Does the loose files still work as of 5.1 or will I have to manually go into the .pak from your main file and extract it from there?

Loose files still work, and will work for the foreseeable future, unless they do some edits to the HUD in any of the updates. :)

Brother I have to ask is there a way to remove the circle and crosshair but keep the diamond at the center when you aim down sights?

Hello! Do you plan on updating it please?
    Thank you! <3
  9. Dude, what happen to the Grimdark Combat mod you made? I really miss that mod and i can't get it back anymore. How long until "under moderation" will be done? Seriously.

Thanks for your work. Is there a way to only remove hitmarkers (with vanilla crosshairs) for version 4.0?

Yes, in the loose files, if you delete the "assets" folder located in ssl/ui/fusion/hud/crosshair/assets", it will only remove the hitmarkers.

      @Alphariuz

Thank you for you hard work! I also want to keep the vanilla crosshairs but remove hitmarkers. I tried following these instructions but I'm unsure how to install these loose files after deleting the folder.
