About this mod

Enhance your Space Marine 2 experience with Astartes! This mod rebalances PVE gameplay and enhance Space Marine 2 with new weapons and versions along with reworked perks and difficulty for a more lore accurate experience.

Made by the Astartes team: Warhammer Workshop, Akrythael and Sheldon_OSINT with the help of many others.

Combat Upgrades
Primary Weapons: Now available for Jump pack Intercessors (Assault) and Bladeguards (Bulwark).

Melee Weapons: Now available for Devastator (Heavy)

New Weapons:

  • Pyre Blaster: Incinerate enemies with righteous fire.
  • Assault Bolter: A bolt pistol variant for rapid engagements.
  • Artifex Bolt Pistol: Compact bursts, devastating results.
  • Artifex Bolt Rifle: burst fire with optional incendiary bolts.
  • Upgradable unarmed for Devastator (Heavy).

New Versions:
  • Heavy Plasma Pistol (top right): only able to fire charged shot at a much faster rate.
  • Plasma Incinerator barrage (top right): rapid-fire but dangerous to overheat.
  • Plasma Exterminator barrage (top right): rapid-fire but dangerous to overheat.
  • Drum Magazine Heavy Bolt Rifle (bottom left): massive magazine but longer reload.
  • Lascannon (Las fusil top right): longer charge time for devastating beams.
  • Storm Bolter (Assault bolter right side): faster fire rate but slower reload time.

Combat Shield: Equip with a class perk for melee superiority.

Ground Pound and Shield Bash: Now compatible with all weapons.

Customisation Overhaul
Bots now use your visual loadouts.
New Metallic Paint Colors.
New Decals: Unlockable by equipping colors on translucent decal layers.
Hoods for added flair.

  • Deathwatch
  • Chaos
  • Iron hands

New models:

  • Metaurus's combat Axe (Power Sword & Thunder hammer)
  • Heresy Era Double-edged Axe (Power Sword & Thunder hammer)
  • Heresy Era Mace (Thunder hammer)
  • Hate mace (Thunder hammer)
  • Crozius Arcanum (Thunder hammer)
  • Heresy Era Axe (Power Sword)
  • Black Blade (Power sword)
  • Storm Bolter (Assault bolter)

Enemy Enhancements
Increased enemy waves for a more challenging experience.
Rebalanced enemy stats: Reduced health but increased damage.
Improved enemy placements to avoid repetitive encounters (e.g., fewer double Zoanthropes).

Gameplay Additions
Mid-operation checkpoints for smoother progression.
Improved AI allies wielding a greater variety of weapons.

General Enhancements
Reworked Barrier and Camouflage abilities with activation costs and flexibility at any percentage.
Dynamic allied units: Fight alongside Space Marines, Dreadnoughts, and Imperial Guard.
Weapons balancing: General buffs and tweaks for fairer combat.
New allies: Malum Caedo and Captain Acheran join as dynamic AI companions.
New weapons and additional versions cost reduced down to 1 requisition point only (Armoury data no longer needed).
Research center cost reduced from 9 to 6 (you can now unlock everything without playing PVP).

Non-supporter feedback will still be read, but supporter feedback takes priority in our development queue.

Weekly Release Cadence
Based on your feedback around the chaotic nature of releases over the past few weeks, we’re moving to a weekly release schedule. Supporters get access to early builds each week to help us test and refine new features. Once stable, builds will be released on Nexus Mods for everyone to enjoy.
