Rejects, I have installed a new addition to your Heads-Up-Display, making use of
downloaded navigation data and positional data from your surroundings
to provide a functional map for you.
Now, it isn't exactly high-grade... it's impossible to distinguish units from eachother, it's
not easy to tell what direction you're looking at, and all information
comes in the form of simple dots. What? Don't look at me like that,
varlet.
This mod provides a toggleable Minimap and Overlay Map (Similar to Diablo 2's map) that you can use anywhere, which
uses the navigational data to provide a very simple outline of the map
you're currently on, as well as showing unit positional data. You can customize color, zoom level, and position.
"This is just another cheat mod, isn't it?"
I understand your concern, but the practicality of this map in combat is highly limited.
I've played a lot of Auric Maelstrom matches with this on, and, to be
completely honest, I never was able to get any real benefit out of this
rather than just, y'know, looking at the game itself. You have to
dedicate a significant amount of focus to pay attention to the map,
focus which could be better spent on teammate and situational awareness.
It's moreso intended as a 'cool' mod to show off map layout and simple
representations of how hordes move in general, and even if it does
provide a slight benefit, it involves an entirely set of different
skills related to map reading, awareness of direction, and focus
management. It's far from a simple wallhack, and I made sure to make it
feel balanced. I just love maps!
With that being said, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MODIFY THIS MOD IN ANY WAY WITHOUT PERMISSION. I specifically made this with the intention of it not being an
advantage. If you post a version of this mod or an add-on that modifies
it to provide an advantage (E.g. Marking specials), I will do what I can
to get it taken down.
Side note, this isn't a HUD element, so it's not really customizable with custom HUD or likewise. It's its own
entirely seperate thing. Sorry, that's just the limitation of how this
mod was made.
As for performance cost, it depends on the zoom level of the minimap and the density of the enemies/map, so your mileage
may vary!
I really hope you enjoy it, I spent a lot of time and effort making this as cool as I could.

Step 2 | Extract File
(Windows 10 supports this by default)
Step 3 | Move Contents
Take the folder within and move it into your Darktide 'mods' folder
E.g. "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\mods"
Step 4 | Load Order
In your 'mods' folder, open up "mod_load_order.txt"
Put the name of the folder within the Zip onto a new line within the file.
The order that you put this in may be important! Look for the 'Load Order Placement' section above for details.
Dependencies listed (sans Darktide Modding Framework & Loader) must be above this mod!
Step 5 | Reload Mods
Make sure your mods are enabled with 'toggle_darktide_mods.bat' in your Darktide install folder.
Once added, (re)start your game to activate the mod. Check ESC > Mod Options > Toggle Mods (At top of list) to see if it's in the list.
If the mod can be configured, the mod title will appear in this list as well, in the same position as the load order.
Step 6 | Enjoy!
You're more than welcome to post feedback or bug reports on this page and let me know what you think.
I appreciate all requests and ideas, but have extremely limited time and tons of mods to tend to.
I'll do my best to update and fix mods, but it's a lot of work to get everything working right.
I put a LOT of time and effort into all of my mods to make them as polished and clean as I can manage.
I'm doing what I can to improve the Darktide experience and make this game more fun for you!
Even smaller mods take a ton of work to get just right.
Please consider donating to me if you can. I know times are tough, so no hard feelings if you don't want to.
If you would like to show your support through another method, my discord is Sephirothphoenix (Seph #6448)!
If nothing else, a nice comment is always wonderful too ^,^
