This mod was created based on the EWC Example Plugin pinned in the weapon customization thread in the Darktide Modders Discord (https://discord.gg/rKYWtaDx4D). As such, it'll inherit the permissions specified on the EWC mod page.
Anything I did myself (not that there's much in this plugin lol) are free to use as long as you aren't selling it. I'd appreciate a comment and credit, though.

What is This? A Weapon Customization plugin that adds standalone chains to most melee weapons. These are equipped in a new attachment slot, and the chains will latch onto whichever blade you have equipped.
This plugin was made to be used in addition to the MT Plugin. The chains will only move when equipped with a blade/head/body that is a chain weapon, and that's typically only possible on non-chain weapons because of the MT Plugin's additions. You can still equip them in other cases, but the chain will be static and the proportions may be off.
Because of this, I added a warning if you don't have the MT Plugin installed. The mod won't shut down, but you will have to read and acknowledge the warning (through the settings or command). Once you acknowledge it, it won't show up anymore.
I only added chains to weapons that the MT plugin has added chain bodies to. This means the Force Greatswords and Relic Blades are not included, since he hasn't updated the plugin for them yet. If you would like to add chains to them anyways:

If you would like to make a specific alignment: 1) Open weapon_customization_chains\scripts\mods\weapon_customization_chains\weapon_customization_chains.lua in any text editor (such as Notepad) 2) Scroll to the bottom. I left some basic instructions there. I also wrote some notes about making fixes, which you may find useful. There's not much there on actually using Modding Tools right now, so good luck.
Installation See requirements tab. Install like any other mod. Only the bolded entries are required. Others are optional, but this would be the ideal relative locations for them.
FAQ What happens if I don't follow the load order? Alignments from this plugin may get wiped. By default, there's nothing to lose. If you make your own alignments, this may cause them to not work. I acknowledged the warning but it keeps showing up! Something is wrong with your mod settings configuration file. Find where it's located and make sure it is NOT set to "read only" The chain looks weird when used with xyz! You can make that alignment for yourself. See the description.
