About this mod

After much time spent on testing, changing values and descriptions - Sword Stats Rebalance, which tweaks the stats of almost every sword and reworks the meteorite and runic swords, which were the most unbalanced and inconsistent, as in the stats, as in the price of them.

Changelogs
Price of the forged swords has been adjusted. Now each meteorite piece or a runestone costs 500 orens. Reforging a sword with three identical pieces/runestones: 2000. A sword made of two and one pieces: 1500. A sword of each different piece: 1250.  Also adjusted the prices of elven swords - e.g. Ceremonial Sword of Deithwen was worth 1000 orens for some reason - changed to 600.

Unique weapons, namely G'valchir(Sihill), Aerondight, Moonblade - are priceless, I looked at Aerondight's vanilla value of 500 orens, and it was wrong.
Swords that haven't been changed: Rusty Sword, (common)Sword of the Order, Ard'aenye.

All swords that I've changed, are compatible with Scabbard Mod - backup .uti files of the changed swords from Scabbard mod, it's adviced in case you wanted to revert to the vanilla values/descriptions.

The descriptions are changed only for English, Hungarian (credit to Gergo900410) and Polish, there was a lot to change. The stats work in every game though. And as with every .uti file, in order to see the changed descriptions, one needs to get a new copy of an item - generally, a new game is suggested with such kind of an overhaul.

Witcher swords:

Spoiler:
Show
Witcher steel sword: Kaer Morhen-forged sword isn't just any sword: the lore states they are one of the best swords there are, rivaled only by gnomish gwyhyrs or dwarven sihills. Viroledan blades are also close. If I were to follow the lore closely, I'd have put very high stats here - but since the game's balance has to be considered, the sword is given only a slight buff.
+10% dmg, +10% Bleeding.

Witcher silver sword: Same thing as with the steel one - it deserves to be much better than just a common silver.
+10% dmg, +10% Incineration

Common swords:

Spoiler:
Show
Temerian iron sword: a pretty common blade, forged in numbers, not quality, but given a slight buff.
-15% dmg

Illegal sword: not a work of a talented blacksmith, but forged by Salamandra members to intimidate people. Low damage, but nasty effects.
-15% dmg, +15% Bleeding, Pain, Poisoning

Order swords:

Spoiler:
Show
Holy Sword of the Order: certainly a formidable weapon, wielded only by experienced knights. Now the stats give it some justice.
+20% dmg, +10% Stun, +10% Incineration

Elven swords: generally lower damage, but they're lightweight and quick, which is rewarded with better precision and effects.

Spoiler:
Show
Blue Mountains sword
-10% dmg, +5% Attack, +10% Disarm, Pain, Precise Hit

Ceremonial sword of Deithwen
0% dmg, +10% Arrack, +20% Disarm, Pain, Precise Hit

Rune sword from Dol Blathanna
+10% dmg, +15% Attack, +30% Disarm, Pain, Precise Hit

Dwarven swords: changed the sihill's name to G'valchir, that is mentioned in one of the game's dialogues.

Spoiler:
Show
G'valchir: a great weapon, but I think it deserves something extra.
+100% dmg, +25% Bleeding, Pain, Precise Hit, ignores opponent's armour

Other swords:

Spoiler:
Show
Harvall: I liked the actual vanilla bonus that was used instead of the one in the description. Now it's the bleeding effect with a correct description.
+30% dmg, +20% Bleeding, Pain, Precise Hit

Gwalhir: The weapon doesn't look that powerful, but let's say it's a remarkable and unique example of craftsmanship, possibly of an elven origin.
+40% dmg, +10% Attack, +40% Pain, Disarm, Precise Hit

D'yaebl: A weapon from far-away lands, gathering dust in the royal armoury until now.
+30% dmg, +10% Attack, +50% Pain, +25% Incineration, Poisoning

Aerondight: Less damage than Moonblade, but a better attack bonus, effects and high sensitivity to silver
+60% dmg, +20% Attack, +50%Blinding, Burning, Pain, Precise Hit, +30% sensitivity to silver

Moonblade: More damage than Aerondight, but no effects and lower sensitivity to silver bonus. Also added the armor penetration bonus.
+100% dmg, +10% Attack, ignores opponent's armour, +15% sensitivity to silver

Meteorite swords: each colour embodies a distinctive fighting style.

Spoiler:
Show
Red meteorite (Strong Style):  +10% dmg, +10% Bleeding
Yellow meteorite (Fast Style): +10% dmg, +10% Pain
Blue meteorite (Group Style):  +10% dmg, +10% Precise Hit

I won't go through every combination - a few examples will suffice.
Three identical meteorite pieces give extra bonuses to any colour: +10% dmg, +10% Attack, +15% Stun.
3x Red                                   + 40% dmg (+10% bonus), +10% Attack (bonus) +30% Bleeding +15% Stun (bonus)
3x Yellow                              +40% dmg, +10% Attack, +30% Pain, +15% Stun
3x Blue                                  +40% dmg, +10% Attack, +30% Precise Hit, +15% Stun

Two identical pieces and one other: +5% dmg
An example: 2x Red + 1 Blue                  +25% dmg (+5%bonus), +20% Bleeding, +10% Precise Hit

Each piece different: it actually lowers their quality and encourages to look for more pieces of same kind:
1x Red, 1x Yellow, 1x Blue                      +15% dmg, +10% Bleeding, +10% Pain, +10% Precise Hit

Runic swords

Spoiler:
Show
Earth rune: +10% dmg, +10% Knockdown
Sun rune:    +10% dmg, +10% Incineration
Moon rune: +10% dmg, +15% sensitivity to silver

Three identical runestones also give extra bonuses to any rune combination: +10% dmg, +10% Attack, +15% sensitivity to silver
3x Earth                               +40% dmg, +10% Attack, +30% Knockdown, +15% sensitivity to silver
3x Sun                                  +40% dmg, +10% Attack, +30% Incineration, +15% sensitivity to silver
3x Moon                              +40% dmg, +10% Attack, +45% sensitivity to silver

Two and one runes: +5%dmg
An example: 2x Earth + 1x Sun             +25% dmg, +20% Knockdown, + 10% Incineration

Each runestone different: same as with meteorites, it's better to look for more runes of same kind:
1x Earth, 1x Sun, 1x Moon                     +15% dmg, +10% Knockdown, +10% Incineration, +15% sensitivity to silver
