The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Geralt of Rivia BIOGRAPHY:

Geralt of Rivia is a witcher, a professional monster killer, the main character of the book cycle "The Witcher Saga" and the game trilogy "The Witcher".The early years of the white-haired witcher are not much different from the young years of any other witcher: he, like everyone else, was subjected to witcher training from a young age, after which he underwent a course of mutations. What distinguishes him from the rest is his origin. Geralt is one of the few people who can boast that his mother is a sorceress. It is known that magicians cannot have children, but the White Wolf was an exception. Visenna, Geralt's mother, is a sorceress-healer from the Druid Circle. It is not known exactly where the witcher was born, who his father was and the circumstances of his birth, but immediately after giving birth in 1212, Visenna takes the baby to Kaer Morhen. In the story "Something More", Geralt meets his mother. The enchantress rushed to the aid of her son when he was critically wounded during a fight with the corpse-eaters. The witcher easily recognized his mother, but did not have time to talk to her about many things: unable to stand the guilt in front of her son, Visenna puts the weakened witcher to sleep and leaves him. From this meeting, the White Wolf learned only that it was his mother who gave him the name, and not Vesemir, as he had believed for many years. In addition, Geralt chose the prefix "from Rivia" to his name himself. He believed that if he was from somewhere, it would make his communication with ordinary people a little easier. For greater authenticity, the witcher even copied the Rivian accent. In addition to this name, the witcher is also known as the White Wolf, Gwynblade (in the elder speech), the Butcher from Blaviken and Geralt of Rivsky (in a very narrow circle of people).

Mutations and Witchcraft training:

Despite the fact that Geralt was trained after the fanatics' attack on Kaer Morhen, this did not prevent him from becoming one of the best and most famous witchers of all time. Due to his skill, Gwynblade is considered one of the best swordsmen of the north. Like any other witcher, the White Wolf sees well in the dark, thanks to the cat's pupils. He also owns elementary magic signs, which are quite enough for the case. Contrary to popular opinion, witchers are not deprived of emotions. Nevertheless, the reputation of soulless killing machines often goes into the hands of witchers, saving them from unwanted communication. Another difference between Geralt and his fellow craftsmen is his snow-white hair. The loss of pigmentation was the result of stronger mutations to which the young White Wolf was exposed. In addition to combat skills, Geralt is smart, has a good memory, easily determines the truth from lies and has well-developed detective skills. Nevertheless, the witcher does not forget about self-improvement. He often attended lectures in Oxenfurt, learned new techniques, and even learned new magic signs, even if not always real ones. Geralt often uses the so-called "Witcher Code", which every witcher is obliged to adhere to. Among the well-known rules of the code: neutrality in any conflict, be it a quarrel between a husband and wife or a war between two kingdoms, defeating a monster does not always mean killing it (meaning curses that can be removed), preserving the natural balance, destroying the relics of conjugation (creatures not from this world that violate the true balance). Nevertheless, Geralt once admitted that the code had never existed in physical form, and that most often it was a set of his own life principles. Using the codex helps the witcher avoid unwanted orders, and it also makes it easier to communicate with some people.

Love affairs:

In addition to his reputation as a Butcher from Blaviken, Geralt is also known as an avid womanizer. It is quite justified, because he has no mistress, the relationship with which formed the basis of various ballads. In choosing a passion, the witcher is very picky: for some reason, he is most attracted to sorceresses, although there have been exceptions. Most often, any relationship with girls did not last longer than one night. The novels with the medic Shani and the enchantress Fringilia Vigo managed to grow into something more. But despite such an extensive list of girlfriends, the main women in Geralt's life remain Triss Merigold and Yennefer from Vengerberg. With Yennefer, the White Wolf met in the city of Rinda when he was looking for someone to help his friend Buttercup, who suffered at the hands of the genie. The witcher fell in love with the black-haired enchantress at first sight. As a result, Geralt tied his fate with Yennefer, choosing her as his last wish. It is noteworthy that right before this, the witcher saw the true appearance of the hunchback sorceress, which was changed with the help of magic. Perhaps this is the best indication of how sincere the feelings between them are. But due to the harmful nature of the genie, Geralt and Yennefer's romance was not truly fabulous. Although they had many romantic and loving moments, very often the couple quarreled and separated for a while. During one of these quarrels, the relationship between Geralt and Triss Merigold began. The red-haired enchantress seduced the witcher, as she had been in love with him since their very first meeting. The White Wolf also had warm feelings for Triss, but that time, for many years, was the only time when he reciprocated them. If we take the books as the finale of the story about Geralt, then Yennefer remained the only one in his life forever. In the game trilogy, the relationship with Triss received a strong boost when Geralt returned from the dead with memory loss. It so happened that he temporarily forgot about Yennefer and the first woman he met was Triss. Mistakenly, the witcher mistook the red-haired sorceress for a black-haired one. Nevertheless, when the White Wolf partially returned the memories of Yennefer, the relationship with Marigold continued and they spent some time as a couple. And yet their romance ended when Geralt fully regained his memory, and remembered the circumstances of separation from Yennefer. The witcher wants to find the enchantress and fully understand his feelings. The final choice between Triss and Yennefer is made by the player in The Witcher 3. A third outcome is also possible when Geralt is left alone.

In the game "The Witcher 3":

Geralt appears to us as the main controlled character and the main character of the game. At the very beginning, the hero has a dream about an ideal life, which then turns into a nightmare. In the real world, Geralt, along with his mentor Vesemir, travels through Temeria in search of Yennefer, the long-time love of the white-haired witcher. In the occupied Temersk village www.playground.ru/wiki/witcher_3_wild_hunt/locat ..">The White Garden, the witcher finds the enchantress, with whom he goes to Vyzima, for an audience with the Emperor Emgyr. From var Emreis, the White Wolf learns about the return of Cirilla, the emperor's daughter and the witcher's ward. The heir to the throne is being pursued by a Wild Hunt, which Gwynblade has already met. According to the action plan for finding Ciri, developed together with Yennefer, Geralt goes to investigate three tracks: in Velen, Novigrad and on Skelliga. In these places, the witcher could rely on the help of old acquaintances who are only too happy to help find the gray-haired witch. As a result, the trail leads the White Wolf to the Island of Mists, where he finally finds Ciri after many years of separation. However, a Wild Hunt immediately attacks their trail, and the heroes are forced to teleport to Kaer Morhen, where preparations for a battle against the pursuers were in full swing. The defense was difficult: the invaders broke through, and the King of the Hunt almost managed to capture Cirilla, but Vesemir sacrificed himself, which caused a surge of the witcher's magical power, which saved everyone. After mourning the fallen, Geralt and his friends began to look for another way to defeat the Wild Hunt. It was decided to collect a scattered Lodge of Cherodeek and find the elven artifact "Sunstone", which the witcher immediately took up. After completing all the set goals, the sorceresses called the Naglfar Hunting ship to the shores of Undvik, where Geralt fought with Eredin and defeated him. But then the White Wolf found out that Ciri was going to enter the portal in the Tor Gvalch'ka tower and put an end to the "White Flood" phenomenon forever. She will succeed, but her fate depends on the actions of the player during the entire passage of the game. If Ciri has not returned from the portal, then the witcher will perish in the swamps of Velen. If she returned, then the rest of the story will continue: on the witcher's way, constantly on the road and forever without money; with Triss in Kovir, where the hero rarely has to return to the craft; or with Yennefer, anywhere, as long as they are together.
