I'd apparently saved the game with such positions that when I loaded the save Geralt was nowhere to be seen (he's standing behind Roach). A rare occurrence. :D

One time that happened in Skellige and when I looked at the world map I saw Roach was swimming (funnily enough) in the ocean.
