The Crooked Quest is a thrilling treasure hunt that unfolds after the events of Hearts of Stone. In the rugged isles of Skellige, Geralt crosses paths with a mysterious cartographer at the docks of Rannvaig. Draven, is obsessed with finding a legendary blade, one imbued with dark magic and said to possess the power to annihilate entire armies. But such power never comes without a price.
Will you dare to recover and uncover the sword’s secrets?
"The Crooked Quest" is a brand new small side quest that becomes available after completing the main expansion of Hearts of Stone. (Recommended to be played after Blood & Wine & Hearts Of Stone)
How to start the quest?
Head to the islet of Rannvaig, to find Draven, the Cartographer.
Spoilers:
Spoiler:

Draven reveals that his father once made a pact with a mysterious entity, which granted him a sword capable of vanquishing his enemies during a night when Spikeroog was under siege. He fears that if he doesn't find the sword before the scavengers do, something terrible could happen due to its cursed nature. The sword is said to whisper to those it deems worthy and who dare to wield it.
"This quest uses voices from the original game, which I have edited as best as I could to make them sound natural. Additionally, the custom cinematics and scenes are also taken from the original game to enhance immersion and maintain a consistent feel. However, please note that I was only able to add the voices in English."
Rewards for completing the Quest:
The Crooked Sword
How does the sword work?
The sword features a unique system not found in other famous or common weapons in the game. The Crooked Sword has a metallic, deep blue hue that glows with the same eerie color, giving it a spectral and ethereal appearance, something truly powerful. It has the ability to haunt those who wield it, but as a reward, it grants Geralt powerful boosts, including the effects of:
Cat
Blizzard 3
Thunderbolt 3
The stats of the sword are also variable in each playthrough.
On top of all of that the Sword has the weather system injected.
This sword is extremely dangerous for ordinary people due to its high toxicity. A common person wouldn’t be able to bend its will. When wielded, you’ll also notice the sky darkening as a violent storm begins. If you wish to stop the rain, simply set the sword aside, and the skies will clear.
This took nearly a full month to create.
Originally, this mod was meant to be expanded with multiple endings and alternate paths, but due to limited support and the fact that I have been updating and working on other mods, I wasn’t able to continue developing it further.
Still, I hope you enjoy what I’ve managed to create and that The Crooked Sword at least delivers that sense of mystery and horror. After all the sword is whats important about this mod. And above all, I hope it leaves you wondering, what on earth is this sword? Why is it so powerful? Its color, the voices… and how in the world is it capable of controlling the skies?
This quest can be completed within 18 minutes - 30 minutes depending on your playstyle and if you find yourself at level 100 (This is a post main game quest). If you want to cheat your way through and acquire the sword or can't acquire it by the normal means of the quest you can do so by using the following console command: additem(crooked_sword)
🗡The Crooked Sword is inspired by the legend of Kusanagi and Excalibur and was created with the intention to be the Aerondight counterpart of the steelswords ⚔

Common Questions:
Can I use your files to make a mod?
I’m sorry, but no. My mods take a lot of time and effort to create, and it’s disheartening when others use my work without permission. I create everything from scratch using available tools or free resources, and I try to make my mods as vanilla-friendly and modular as possible.
Will your mods be released on Steam Workshop?
No, Unfortunately, I don’t use the Steam version of the game.
Can your mod work with other mods?
Should be compatible with any mod and all my mods. If you are encountering problems, give it priority. I test all my mods during and after development. Like all my mods they are created for the latest version of the game which is Next Gen 4.04+. You don’t need script merging!!
It’s not tested in previous versions.
