Improve vanilla alchemy, crafting and looting experience. Now you actually need to find alcohol recipes and brew them for your potions, just like White gull.

WHITE GULL
In vanilla game, you can`t find White gull as loot, nor buy it from herbalist. You can only find recipe and craft it yourself. To craft White gull, you need Strong Alcohol, that you can`t find as loot, only buy it from inn keepers. You need White gull to craft alchemy substances and T3 potions. I wanted to replicate this for Dwarven spirit as well.

DWARVEN SPIRIT
After completing Wild Hunt story line, looting some of stuff, I collected 700+ Dwarven spirits. Knowing player only needs that much to craft T1 potions and concoctions, this is overkill. Alcohest the same. Further I haven`t crafted any Alcohol in my playthrough at all, except for White gull. To mitigate this and make Alchemy more fun I started examining loot_containers and loot_shops XML files. So I removed Dwarven spirit and Alcohest from loot and shop tables.

ALCOHOL
Now to craft potions you actually need to find recipes for alcohol and craft it during playthrough. Tweaked Alcohol recipes, demanding more herbs. Tweaked Alcohol prices and shop tables. Initially wanted to call this mod Alcohol Balanced. Found recipes so easy to edit, made more changes to T3 petards and Alchemical paste. Maybe add Recipe for Mandrake cordial using Cherry cordial and Mandrake root?

ALCOHOL STOCK
Now you will find more Temerian alcohol in Velen and White Orchard, Redanian alcohol in Oxenfurt and Redanian areas around Novigrad, lot of beer and Mahakam Spirit in Skellige. This was inspired from Proper Alchemy mod by QedrBlaster.

ALCOHOL PRICES
Alcohest 10 -> 65 Krones
Cherry Cordial 25 -> 28
Dwarven spirit 20 -> 100
Mahakam Spirit 8 -> 45
Mandrake cordial 45 -> 65
White Gull 100 -> 130
What you expected? Inflation.

BELL PEPPER
Changing alcohol prices in item_edibles XML means I can change something else. Found Bell pepper food, that in not available in loot nor shop tables. Now there are distinct Pepper and Bell pepper that both found as loot and available in shops. Call it modBellPepperFoodFix.

PETARDS
In vanilla Alchemists powder is more available, than iron ore. Now crafting recipes for T3 Petards demand Zerrikanian powder, instead of Alchemists powder. Zerrikanian powder is craftable from starting schematics. Alchemists powder was cut from loot tables, as well as shop tables, made it rare ingredient and now it is used to craft Alchemical paste.

ALCHEMICAL PASTE
Made it unavailable like White gull. You need Paste to craft T3 Oils. Now there are 2 recipes of Paste. One found as loot or sold from herbalists in Novigrad. Second found as loot or sold from herbalists in Skellige. Alchemical paste is now Relic. T3 Oils with 50% damage bonus and 60 charges is overkill, in my opinion. Further plan is to change oil bonuses from (10/25/50)% damage bonus 20/40/60 charges to (15/25/35)% damage bonus 20/30/40 charges.

LOCALIZATION
This mod only needs 2 strings for every Recipe for Alchemical paste. I have added that for en,ru languages. Feel free to add more languages.

STARTING RECIPES
Now you start game (not NewGame+) with only Recipes for Swallow and White milk. First test showed that you find a lot of Recipes for Alchemy substances, Concoctions that you only need in mid and late game. Meaning low chances to find Recipe for Dwarven spirit in White Orchard to craft Swallow for quest. So I balanced a lot of Recipes along with some schematics. Now you start finding those Recipes later in the game.

MUTAGENS
In vanilla you start with Recipes for red, green and blue Mutagens. Now you should find those as loot later in the game.

GUSLAR STORE
In vanilla Guslar is selling all Runestones, Glyphs, Rune and Glyph schematics. Now store is balanced and opens its assortment starting from Lvl5, Lvl15 and Lvl25 for lesser, mid and greater schematics accordingly.

RUNE AND GLYPH SCHEMATICS
In vanilla you can only buy greater schematics from Guslar store. No schematics are possible to find as loot. Now you can find all schematics as loot later in the game.

WHITE ORCHARD
Started new game and made through White Orchard doing most of the quests and most of the loot. I have easily found Recipe for Dwarven spirit and crafted Swallow to complete quest. However, it is possible to buy this recipe from Tomira or other herbalists. Don`t forget to harvest your Hop umbels for future if you want to craft a lot of potions and concoctions and don`t be stuck in demand for Dwarven spirit ;)

BEST USAGE
It is best to start new game on Death March! difficulty. If you that type of player and want challenge, this mod will spice your playthrough little bit.

NewGame+ is not supported, sorry.

FURTHER PLANS
Review all the loot tables, including DLC and all the crafting recipes.
Create special tool to generate Witcher 3 XML.
Redo all the loot, shops and crafting recipes to improve vanilla experience of crafting system.

Intention is not to create new system, but incrementally improve vanilla crafting experience.
Redo the loot tables so that Witcher should use alchemy and crafting more often.
For example, do not drop silver ingot as loot, only silver ore. So Witcher needs to craft silver ingots from ores.

It would be good if you know and can point me to files where loot containers hold their links to loot tables.
