About this mod
Adds a menu with an (extra) difficulty slider to use with the "Geralt Level Scales" mod (and fixes a bug).

That said, while I really like this scaling system, the overall difficulty level is too low for my taste. Especially when you're also using a mod like Perks Always Active, which makes gameplay more fun, but also easier. I'm already playing on Death March, so I felt extra difficulty was needed, compatible with how Geralt Level Scales works, and that is what this mod provides!
How it works
You get an ingame menu, under Mods, Gameplay, GLS Difficulty, where you can add additional difficulty on a slider from 0 (no extra difficulty) to 15.
As described above, GLS scales Geralt's gear to the same level as the enemy's. The extra difficulty slider works by pretending that the enemies are lower level than they actually are. So for example, when difficulty is set to 5, and you're fighting a level 20 enemy, Geralts gear doesn't get scaled to level 20 (as the enemy level), but only to level 10. Don't worry about the mechanics though, just know that a higher number on the slider is more difficult. :D
Bonus Bugfix: Another small addition is that this addon fixes a bug in GLS, where you would end up with very slightly less than maximum health when entering and leaving combat without taking damage (for example when passing combat on horse). This would cause the Witcher Medalion and Stats bars in the HUD not to hide.

Installation (4 steps)
- This mod is an add-on to GLS, so first you must have Geralt Level Scales installed, I recommend with Vortex. Make sure that the version of GLS and this mod are the same. Currently: 4.03.1.
- Second, this mod requires you have installed Community Patch - Menu Strings. Note: There are other language versions of this mod as well, I've only tested English.
- After that, install this mod. Again, I recommend to use Vortex.
- And then it is required to run Script Merger (already included in Vortex), to merge the add-on with GLS. There will be 3 conflicts, and in every case you must choose to use the lines from this addon. See the last 5 screenshots for exact instructions if you have questions on how to do this!
Manual installation: It's possible, although I don't recommend it. A mod manager makes life so much easier, once you have learned how to use it. And Vortex supports automatic mod updates. That said, if you do want to go manual, you have to copy the bin folder from this add-on to GLS's mod directory, and you have to copy the content folder from this add-on to GLS's mod directory so that it overwrites the existing content folder there. Don't ask me for support on manual install please.
Compatibility
- Compatible with The Witcher 3 Next-Gen v4.03.
