About this mod

This DLC adds 3 new tiers for mutagens which are: master, legendary and unique, so 9 or 12 new mutagens in total (depends on the version).

It comes in 2 variations, Vanilla (NG Port of the original mod New Mutagens made by Sergik1945) and Yellow Mutagens Expansion (which adds 3 new yellow mutagens).

This DLC is a NextGen Port remade nearly from scratch based on the work from Sergik1945 and his New Mutagens, so shout out and bows to him. He seems inactive and was not responding to my messages and comments and the mod he left in it's current state looks unfinished and abbandoned.
First off I remade it for personal use only but I had many questions regard it and if/when I will share it, so that's why I decided to upload it as a new mod.

If the original author comes back and will update his work and would like me to take off this mod than I will take it down.

EDIT (24.07.2024):
Just got a message from Sergik1945 (original mod author) and he wrote me that couldn't continue work on his project because of personal reasons and lack of time. Let's hope that he will come back someday with another unique and great idea. Wishing him all the best and great success in the near future.

I really liked the idea from Sergik1945 with adding new tiers for the mutagens and that's why I decided to make it nearly from scratch and pack it as a DLC so it can be as much conflictless as possible. 
The only exception and vanilla file that i had to edit was the "rewards.xml" file which I left in the mod part but I didn't found any other simple way to add the ingredients for exactly these Bosses. It would be possible without any problems to add the ingredients to Imlerith and The Ice Giant as they can be looted but I wanted to keep the mod as simple as possible.


I have made 2 versions of it and it comes as Vanilla and Yellow Mutagens Expansion, both are fully NextGen compatible and were made for the 4.04 version of the game.
The mod contains 9 new mutagens in Vanilla version and those are:


1)Master mutagens:
  • Master mutagen blue ( +15% power of signs)
  • Master mutagen red ( +15% power of attack)  
  • Master mutagen green ( +200 HP) 
2)Legendary mutagens:
  • Legendary mutagen blue ( +20% power of signs)
  • Legendary mutagen red ( +20% power of attack)  
  • Legendary mutagen green ( +275 HP)
3)Unique mutagens:
  • Caranthir's will mutagen ( +25% power of signs)
  • Eredin's power mutagen ( +25% power of attack)
  • Ice Giant's vitality mutagen ( +350 HP)

The Yellow Mutagens Expansion contains 12 new mutagens and it's just a expanded version of the Vanilla one + it adds 3 new yellow mutagens that are:

4)Yellow mutagens Expansion:
  • Master mutagen yellow ( +15% stamina)
  • Legendary mutagen yellow ( +20% stamina)
  • Imlerith's endurance mutagen ( +25% stamina)


HARD REQUIREMENT FOR THE YELLOW MUTAGENS EXPANSION!!!
The expansion requires the 
Restored Content: Yellow Mutagens by glassfish777 or Content Expansion: Time of The Sword & Axe made by the same author. It's because I wanted that those 3 are consistent with this mod and that's why the Master Yellow Mutagen requires 3x Greater Yellow Mutagens to be crafted.


INSTALLATION:
0. Please don't use Vortex as it likes to mess some DLC and bin folders inside the mods
1. For manual installation please extract the files into your The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt directory, so the modNewMutagens goes to the Mods folder and                  dlc_NewMutagens to the dlc folder or use Witcher 3 Mod Manager.
2. Use Script Merger and check for conflicts, if there are any, merge your scripts correctly. It will definitely conflict with any mod that alters those                         scripts: inventoryComponent.ws, characterMenu.ws and playerWitcher.ws and are adding new recipes, mutagens and some other alchemy stuff like                 some potions etc. (If you are using Yellow Mutagens, Unique Mutagen Overhaul, Time of the Sword & Axe or any other mod of this kind there will                     be a few conflicts but a very easy ones to solve by choosing both lines of code, so just choose B and C or C and B. That depends how the code will look).


FOR A VISUAL EXAMPLE HOW TO MERGE SOME OF THE MODS TOGETHER PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES IN THE IMAGES TAB  (credits to MeveOfLyriaa)

UNINSTALLATION:
Delete both folders modNewMutagens and dlc_NewMutagens and re-merge your scripts.


HOW TO OBTAIN THE RECIPES AND INGREDIENTS???
To acquire the new recipes you can buy them from these merchants:

-The Pellar - has the Master mutagen recipes
-Keira Metz - has the Legendary mutagen recipes
-Novigrad Crematorium alchemist (like in the original version of the mod) - has all the recipes
-Otto Bamber - has the highest tier recipes only
-Master Gremist - highest tier only
-Yolar (The Druid Herbalist) - has the master and legendary variants of the recipes

To obtain the 4 unique ingredients you'll have to kill these 4 bosses: Imlerith (for his endurance essence), Ice Giant on Undvik (for his vitality) and Eredin (to get his heart and Caranthir's will).

You can also obtain the recipes, mutagens and ingredients via console commands which I have included in the README file under the DOCS tab and hidden under the spoiler underneath.

COMPATIBILITY:
This mod is compatible with pretty everything cause it's a DLC with the exception of mods that modify the "rewards.xml" file but it's very easy to create a compatibility patch. If you dunno how to do it than please write in the comments or PM me and I can create one for you.
