Overview:

Spectre is a full game overhaul that aims to strengthen the core aspects of The Witcher 3 without straying too far from the original design choices. It fully incorporates most of the features found in Ghost Mode and bonds them with the existing FCR3 changes found in the next gen version of the game as much as possible, but reworked in a smarter way that allows for a better merging and management experience, as well as incorporating additional bugfixes and QoL improvements.

Aside from Ghost Mode, Spectre also incorporates an alchemy system similar to the standalone Alchemy mod, but also reworked and modified to some degree internally, though much of the design concepts remain the same.

For details on Ghost Mode and Alchemy, please visit both of their respective pages:

Ghost Mode: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/992
Alchemy: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8081

Special Notes:
- Spectre requires commitment and is not recommended to be installed or uninstalled without starting a new game.
- Spectre was primarily created to be used in conjunction with the Eternal Hunt: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8449

Additional Changes:

  • Wolven Hour potion is reworked to grant a massive amount of stats for one hour.
  • All equipment can now be equipped no matter the player's level.
  • All equipment will level up to the player's level upon equipping them.
  • Removed tool-tip info on what level the player is able to equip items.
  • Skill tree abilities can now be leveled up to a maximum of level 10
  • The player starts off with 1 point in:
    • Whirl
    • Rend
    • Deflection
    • Steady Shot
    • Razor Focus
    • Delusion
    • All of the alt-signs skills
    • All of the sign intensity skills
  • Additionally, all of the above are activated without being directly equipped.
  • The skills in the General tab (yellow skill tree) can also be activated without being directly equipped, but each skill still needs to be learned.
  • Putting 10 points into Counterattack will make the player automatically counter enemy attacks while holding down the parry button.
  • Mutations are available from the very start.
  • Multiple mutations may be enabled at the same time.
  • Item stack sizes for ingredients, potions, etc are greatly expanded.
  • Incorporated custom horse-back looting feature. Dismounting from horse on kb&m requires double-tapping the dismount key.
  • Incorporated custom Convenient Looting feature.
  • Incorporated custom Additional Looting Info feature.

Compatibility:

Spectre was primarily designed to be used in conjunction with the Eternal Hunt, and as such EH will be the only mod that I will actively make compatible with changes to Spectre and vice versa. While it is highly recommended to use this mod along with EH, Spectre is fully independent on its own without the need of any other dependencies.

With special thanks to Lewis Elementary, Spectre contains BiA changes within its files. Make sure Spectre has priority.

In regards to UI mods, make sure to merge scripts and set their priority over Spectre in most cases.

Since Spectre is a full game overhaul, please be mindful to what you attempt to merge into the mod itself.
