Joined by current staff member Povuholo, LHammonds and Buddah will help to clean up the file database by fixing dead links, erroroneous file information, irrelevent or nasty file comments. My thanks goes out to all three of them for their help with the site.
On a related issue I would like to bring attention to the new "File a report"

I just checked the File Reports and saw nothing submitted by you. Don't click the Report button under the comments as I will never see it. It needs to be the link called File a report which is located on the right menubar.
Thanks,
LHammonds
oops...guess I wasn't clear enough by leaving out an important piece of info: As a File Admin, I have the ability to remove ratings. The process also removes the associated comment (I'm pretty sure). Buddah may not realize that he can remove ratings yet or maybe he is not interested in doing so. But regardless, the way to get bogus ratings removed is to click the File a report link beside the rating and let us know why you think it's a bogus rating.
Dark0ne may or may not add an extra option in the drop-down list for Report a bogus file rating but it doesn't matter if you type and describe the issue.

The 'File a Report' is geared more towards the file itself. I was looking for more of a 'file bogus ratings' link. And for people who are 'able' to edit the database and ratings on mods.
Kivan on the bethsoft forum had me PM buddah on that forum about a bogus '1' on one of my mods on this site. He pretty much said the same thing and forwarded the request onto povuholo to see if anything could be done. I have not seen anything yet.
Bad links are one thing, but bogus ratings make mod authors not want to share their creation. I think most people that make mods are not getting paid, so the ratings are the only pleasure they get in sharing. And bogus ratings are a detriment to that pleasure. To the point of do I want to share my mod on that site as it is full of 'bad' raters that are not taken care of. The rating window itself says ... or your rating may be removed.. Who does that and how is it reported?
Thanks for reading my rant,
WilliamSea (aka WillieSea)
I have seen not one report of a bad rating via the file a report button...I guess because it's not something that is obvious. If you click the report button below a comment, that is for the comments only (which I do not see). If you click the File a Report button which associated with the mod, I will see and take care of any reported issues.
Buddah and I are File Admins which allow us to update/delete any mod uploaded to the site. We can only see reports that are associated to the mod which is via the File a Report button.
We cannot edit/delete any comments on the site (AFAIK)
Thanks,
LHammonds
Or give the moderators the power to remove the reported bad ratings. If you are short of man-power, I am sure there are some good people who would be willing to help out with it.
Personally, any rating that is more than 50% different than the average rating should be suspect. I am a moderator on another forum (not one of my own) and could help with this task if asked.
And you mods have my sincerest thanks for cleaning up the file database. Kudos to all three of you!
I believe that any avatars that are to be viewed on this site need to be uploaded to this site.
I think that Dark0ne blocked external images because of hackers using it as a means to mess up the site. I won't go into the details of how one could do that but just know that you need to upload your images here for them to be visible.
Thanks,
LHammonds
Could this also be why around 90% of the avatars look the same, the white box with red X missing graphic look? Am I locked out of the general Avatar graphic folder as well? My Avatar is on 'PhotoBucket'. I can see yours also, but it is probably not on this site either. (special graphic so it is stored elsewhere.) Just wondering if this can be fixed, or if I just live with it?
