Changelogs
- description

The main focus of this mod is to elevate the
rather dark environments when driving in the cockpit.
See screen shots for impressions.

There are a few drawbacks:
- lighter environments (Sweden, etc) can be a bit overbright
- a very slight pop in sky colors when the weather transitions
So you know...

If you do not like specific tweaks please see 'further tweaking'
for disabling specific shader tweaks.

3dmigoto shader tweaks:
- decrease darkness environment tonemap effects all cameras
- reduce fog density
- interior car reduce darkness
- slightly reduce overbirght sky
- reduce intensity godrays

update 17/06/2021
- slight change to the cockpit shaders there was quite
a lot of reflections on the windshield reduced those
and used an other shader to propagate light in the
  cockpit.
Note this causes the glass of the cockpit to become
less visible in 'chase' cam mostly noticeable during
  replays...

For driving in cockpitview 3dmigoto shader tweak:
- windscreen increase light exterior when in cockpit
reduce mud and reflections windscreen also effects tint and gloss windscreen other cameras

- install

Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder of
wrc 9, the folder which contains wrc9.exe.

- optional install

The following instructions are only needed
if you do not like using unverified dll's you can:

download 3dmigoto from:
https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases
download version 1.3.16 and place the following dlls in the install dir of
wrc 9:
d3d11.dll (64bits)
d3dcompiler_46.dll
then copy `d3dx.ini, ShaderCache and ShaderFixes from the zip file to the same dir aka folder.

- verify

After running the game the folder ShaderFixes should contain the .bin versions:

2d5fc12a8154b152-ps_replace.bin
41f61c7749e74047-ps_replace.bin
5bb85c564ad71ed5-ps_replace.bin
9417a4f62a855840-ps.bin
dde4fc72a3342f2d-ps_replace.bin
e13ffc417273505f-ps_replace.bin

of

2d5fc12a8154b152-ps_replace.txt
41f61c7749e74047-ps_replace.txt
5bb85c564ad71ed5-ps_replace.txt
9417a4f62a855840-ps.txt
dde4fc72a3342f2d-ps_replace.txt
e13ffc417273505f-ps_replace.txt

This means that the file(s) .txt have been compiled by 3dmigoto (d3d11.dll)

- tested

Tested with file version 26-01-2021 of wrc 9
on win 10 (1903) / nvidia 1050gtx ti
See screenshot for settings game.

- performance

3dmigoto gpu usage 1080p@ ~55fps
max gpu: 1772Mhz gpu usage 100%
**clamped frame rate to 55fps no sync
No noticeable difference in gpu usage.

- further tweaking

If you like you can compare the modified shader, ShaderCache contains
the original shader, to alter values.

To disable specific tweaks open the shader from
the folder 'shaderfixes' with a text editor example:
183a1e9c719d91a0-ps_replace.txt

Has a remark on the top line:
// reduce distance fog

So if you do not want that to happen
remove the shader from the folder 'shaderfixes'

E13FFC417273505F-PS_REPLACE.TXT

and if compiled remove:

E13FFC417273505F-PS_REPLACE.BIN

then restart the game.

All shaders <shadernumber>ps_replace.txt have
a similar descriptive remark.

- tips

Your co-driver can under certain circumstances and
given tracks bombard you with directions one way to slim
that down is by renaming the audio .paf files in
WIN32\Sounds\VOICE\GE\PACENOTES\MALE
in this case the lanugage is german
WIN32\Sounds\VOICE\EN\PACENOTES\MALE
if you are using an english co driver
and so on for other languages

example by renaming:
ATOM_JUNCTION.PAF
to:
ATOM_JUNCTION.PAF.o

The co driver will no longer say 'cross junction'
other useful sound files to silence are
ATOM_M10.PAF.o
ATOM_M20.PAF.o
ATOM_M30.PAF.o
ATOM_M40.PAF.o
Which indicate speed to drive car.

If you want to save a bit of disk space you can remove
some co driver languages as example I removed the folders:
FR
IT
SP
under WIN32\Sounds\VOICE\ saving about 400MB
