Yakuza Kiwami 2. Camera Rework, Mouse acceleration fix.

This mod replaces analog stick emulated in-game camera with a proper raw mouse input with no acceleration.

It only works with the STEAM version of the game and camera will not work on a controller.

After fixing Yakuza 7 it is time for Yakuza 2. This game have a little better camera than Yakuza 7 but it is still crap. It emulates an analog stick and then applies some sort of smoothing to make it barely playable for PC but f*ck that, I want a proper raw mouse input like it is in all new Yakuza games (6,IW, All Judgments). So here it is.
It was a little hard to make fix for this game because the code is similar to Y7 but I had to debug crashes that were never in Y7. It took me 2 weeks to make it all work.

If you guys want Yakuza 0 and KIWAMI 1 fixed as well, then drop me some support because it will take some time, but I love these games, so I will fix them one way or the other.

This mod fixes:

  • - Raw mouse input for in-game camera instead of analog stick emulation.
  • - Removed mouse acceleration.
  • - Camera X and Y sensitivity has been normalized.
  • - All dead zones removed.
  • - Fixed camera control in select mode
  • - First Person camera is also fixed.

Gamepad will no longer work for in-game camera !!! It will work for other minigames or movement but not for the camera !!!

!!! HOW TO INSTALL !!!!

1: Extract all files in to your \Steam\steamapps\common\\Yakuza Kiwami 2 folder where the .exe file is.
2: If you want to uninstall then just remove dinput8.dll and Y2_Steam_Patch.asi files.

3: If you are using ShinRyuModManager then just use a custom version of my mod.

4: GOG version is not supported because I don't have that version.
