2. Delete the entire contents of the file ModInfo.xml and and paste this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <xml> <Name value="No quest radius"/> <DisplayName value="No quest radius"/> <Version value="2.0"/> <Description value="There is no more need to stay within a radius of a POI after accepting a quest, it only fails on death."/> <Author value="Darklegend222"/> <Website value=""/> </xml>
3. Delete config/config.xml
4. Delete the entire contents of the file config/quests.xml and and paste this: <config> <set xpath="quests//objective[contains(@type, 'StayWithin')]/property[@name='radius']/@value">100</set> </config> You can replace the number 100 with any value you want (by default in game is 25). But I wouldn't recommend making it very big - you can easily lose a quest zombie somewhere.
5. If you have other mods that modify quests, rename the folder with this mod to be at the very bottom. Something like "ZNo_quest_radius".
Sorry I haven't touched the mod until now, I've made the proper adjustments as you've suggested and uploaded the latest version! Thank you very much for providing a fix/update for others, had no idea there was notation for "contains @type" that certainly cut down on the amount of lines!
I've just tested it on A20, it still works exactly the same with no alterations. Did you open the 7 days to die launcher through Steam and clear all your game data prior to updating? The developers highly recommend it as code can, and will linger from previous versions.
