Here is a somewhat lengthy way of switching from Wayden's original mod to this one. Requires Basket full of Equipment. Obviously requires the original items from which you extracted appearances to redo the transmogs once you switch over to Transmog Enhanced.
0. Save the game. If something goes wrong, at least you'll have this spot to revert to. 1. With Wayden's mod still installed, use the Appearance Extractor dagger to revert ALL of your transmogged items to original appearance. 2. Gather up all of the extracted appearances and the Appearance Extractor on one character. 3. Use the Basket Summon talisman to summon a Ghost Basket of Equipment. 4. Put all of the extracted appearances and the appearance extractor into the Ghost Basket. 5. Wait for the Ghost Basket to disappear (10 turns). 6. Save the game in a new slot. 7. Quit BG3, uninstall all of Wayden's mod files. 8. Load BG3, load your save from Step 6. 9. Save the game into a new slot. This is your "clean" save with Wayden's mod uninstalled. 10. Install Transmog Enhanced. 11. Load the save from step 9. You should receive the crystal and the flower on load. 12. Use the crystal to redo all of your transmogs. I hope you haven't thrown away the original items from which you previously extracted appearance.
Huge props to Wayden and Eralyne for cooperating on this mod.
Hello. I'm trying to transmog the forge's shield with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/9730 but when I do it, the item isn't usable anymore
When you load into a save, the HOST of the lobby (character you have selected when loading) should get 2 items "Transmog Appearance" and "Reset Appearance".
i did not recieve any item
update: nvm it working now idk what i did but its working somehow
Hello! I'm not sure if this is a bug or how it should be... I'm using a translator and I hope my question will be clear. When I transfer the appearance onto an item, I lose its original colors of the appearance I want to see. For example, I have mod armor that is black, and if I put it on just like that, it is black as intended. But if I use the appearance of this armor on other equipment, it turns out to be a different color (not sure if this is the color of the original equipment or a random one). This happens with different armor and pieces of equipment, no matter what mod I use for them. Of course, I can paint the resulting item with dye, but I still can't achieve the original color that I liked. Is there a way to fix this, or is this how the mod works?
I have also encountered this problem. The vanilla armour that I was "transmogging" into appearing as some modded camp clothing - I wanted Shadow to wear both the new outfit and one of her circlets I've given her - only for the transmogged item to have a completely different colour pallet than the one the modded outfit initially had.
Same as with you, I cannot replicate the colour pallet of the item I'm copying the appearance of even with dyes.
When i transmog weapons, they get +whatever enchantment there is on the Transmog donor. So if i transmog Bladuran giantslayer which is +3 into a Sword of justice - which is +1 - It becomes +1 aswell.
And when u transmog a pike into a sword - they still hold it like a pike, but with the sword model - but thats whatever tbh.
Excellent mod, but there is one thing I've noticed that was likely not intended: The transmog crystal will successfully preserve all the stats and effects of the original item with the exception of armor type/weight classification. For example, if I use the transmog crystal on an item with the heavy armor classification to make it look like a piece with the clothing classification, the transmogged item is now considered clothing, but preserves all of its other stats. In most cases, this introduces an unintentional buff (since characters can now add more of their dex modifier to their AC), but in some cases, its a debuff, especially if done the other way around so that a character is no longer proficient with what was originally a piece of clothing.
Does that make sense? Seems like a bug. Am I doing it wrong?
Edit: looks like it does maintain the dex modifier limitation since thats part of its stats, but it does still lose its classification, so monks can use armor originally labeled medium or heavy so long as the armor gets transmogged, and barbarians can use heavy armor without losing the rage buffs, etc., or Paladins with the defense feature no longer gain the +1 AC when wearing what used to be armor.
Edit: Looks like after saving and loading the game, the classifications were being properly applied. Resolved.
Hello :D I used your mod a lot, and still do... but today it suddenly happened that instead of just copying the appearance of the right item, it replaced the left one. So now the armor I had before is gone, and I have the exact same, with the same stats as before. I saved and reloaded as suggested, but didn't help... is there a load order for Mods? as both armors were from Mods...
Edit: Solved, yeah, needed to be placed below the custom outfits in the load order 😂🙈
Thank you soooo much for this mod, damn as a guy who cares a lot about how my characters look but also dont want the right gear, this is a god sent - Good job ma man!
For anyone who might be almost as dumb as me, you don't click on the ring to use it. Use the transmog crystal. Place the ring in the box on the right. Put the item you want to hide in the box on the left. Click to combine. Done.

If you somehow lost the items, please use these Script Extender console commands to get them back:
Crystal (Transmog Appearance)

Thanks for creating this, my favorite mod.
