Post updated for the 29/02/2024 2.12 patch Redscript version 0.5.18 supports the latest patch, some other mods might be broken, so it's likely that you'll see errors if you're upgrading from the previous version of the game
FAQ: Redscript generates no logs for the latest patch If you're using redmod, redscript requires a working installation of either red4ext or cybercmd. If a patch breaks red4ext, redscript will stop working as well, but cybercmd can be installed as an alternative in the meantime.
I am seeing a RED4ext popup saying 'The following RED4ext plugins could not be loaded because they are incompatible...' The mods listed in the popup are incompatible with your game and they must be either updated or uninstalled.
I am seeing a RED4ext popup saying 'The following scripts contain invalid native definitions...' The mods listed in the popup are not installed correctly or outdated, so you should do a clean install of the latest version of each mod in the list.
I am seeing a popup saying 'Invalid instruction code: ...' You're most likely using an outdated version of redscript, so you should first do a re-install of the latest version. In some cases it might also be a corrupt cache issue, which can be quickly repaired by deleting everything in r6/cache and verifying file integrity with Steam/GOG.
I am seeing a popup saying 'Cyberpunk 2077 encountered an error caused by corrupted or missing scripts file...' This error is caused by broken or missing red4ext dependencies. You should make sure that red4ext and all mods that depend on it are working. You can check that by looking for errors and warnings in 'red4ext\logs\red4ext.log'. If you see any errors or warnings, you should update all the affected mods and if that doesn't help you should delete the problematic mods.
I am seeing a redscript log file at 'r6/logs/redscript_rCURRENT.log' with many 'symbol with this name is already defined' errors This error indicates a cache issue, which can be quickly repaired by deleting everything in r6/cache and verifying file integrity with Steam/GOG. The path where the game is installed contains non-English alphabet characters (like é, ó etc.) The game will fail to invoke redscript when installed under an unsupported path, you'll need to move it elsewhere.
If these instructions aren't enough, you can ask for help with redscript on the Cyberpunk modding Discord server: https://discord.gg/redmodding.
NOTE FOR REDMOD USERS Starting from redscript 0.5.6, redscript supports compatibility with redmod scripts, but it is available through an additional dependency. If you want to use redscript along with redmod, you should install either red4ext or cybercmd. They both solve an issue many users were facing where the redmod launcher would prevent redscript compilation from happening.
IMPORTANT: delete 'r6\cache\modded' if it exists after updating redscript, it'll be regenerated automatically when the game runs
REDScript compilation has failed. This error has been caused by mods listed below: - virtual-atelier-full One or more of the errors found has a known solution. Here are the recommended steps: - Virtual Atelier depends on Codeware but you don't have it installed. but i already installed Codeware
Same here except, after a 10+ hours of gameplay, suddenly i cant open the game anymore w redscript installed. Not even getting an error, just gog telling me the game flatlined, nothing in logs mentioning an error either
I may have found the cause and fix. Virtual stores, not the main artellier but the stores for custom content. Disabled those and redscript works fine now
EDIT: I also removed driver combat 2.0 and the shotgun add on for it, it's one of these mods causing a problem
i didn't have those mods, but i did a little more searching and found that you can set Redlauncher to run as admin. seems to be working with redscript again.
Anyone else have issues with codeware after it's latest update 1.9.0? After installing I get this error in the r6 log.

Tried clearing R6 cache and verifying files but no change. Comments are locked on Codeware, so I thought I would check here.
I somehow missed the line from psiber about the cyberware-ex optional file when I was looking at the Codeware pinned post. I dl'ed the last cyberware-ex main file, but not the hudsizefix file. Weird that it came up as a problem with codeware.
Thanks for the help kind sir or madam. Back up and running now.
I have this same exact issue right now trying to play the game. The thing is I only have is Custom Quickslots out of the 4 listed. So, im not sure whats causing the issue for me.
Whenever I use redscript I can't launch the game, and it keeps saying I don't have Codeware and ArchiveXL installed/up to date but I do have them installed and updated. There a fix for this or do I just gotta wait for now?
Make sure to make a backup file if you got the space for it on your PC, so you can load it backup incase stuff goes south... It also helps with getting your stuff back incase some mod completely breaks the game..
For further info, Lizzies mod shows up in the game. It activates when walking into the apartment, and the objects and NPC show up at the bar. But the dialogue boxes don't show up and the game soft locks until you reload. There was something mentions in the mod's forum about a possible solution by recompiling redscript. How does that work?
I've done various ways to paste the redscript into my Cyberpunk2077 folder, but none of them worked. Here's my logs, any ideas to solve my problems? guys~~~
