I was just thinking how condescending the text about the mod was. If we have to talk realism, let's just drop the pressure in the tires a bit and get more grip. We burn more fuel and more rubber, but we have a lot more grip on the road. "bUt wE cAn'T cHaNgE tHe fUeL eXpEnDiTuRe, nOr tHe tIrE's HP bAr". No kidding, it's a video game, which is also not from the Driver series.
I eventually just turned the map off entirely. Helps you anticipate turns and also learn the city a little better. I do really want to disable or weaken the camera snap though. It is super annoying to not be able to look over at the sunset or slow down and take it all in properly while driving.
GTA actualy also reset camera position doesnt matter the settings. The only game i know that doesnt reset camera position while driving is watch dogs 2
There is an option in the Gameplay tab that lets you choose if you want the driving camera's height in third-person perspective to be high or low, and when I changed it to high I noticed it stopped recentering itself.
The Vehicle Combat mod, which i have a copy of, removes it. If yo couple it with a different file, That removes vertical snapping too. Has to be used with the Vehicle combat mod the author has since removed for a update..
Init.lua ( inside that text file put this ( and put the init.lua into CETweaks mod folder )
This mod makes the brakes better and stronger. Modified a bit with "UseDifferential = false" makes the grip even better. Counter steer works. Bike handling no problem whatsoever.
Should i rename your file to vehiclehandling and replace the file in \engine\config\platform\pc\? Also in your 'How to install' The directory looks weird: To uninstall: Delete Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc\vehiclehandling.ini\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc
Hopefully someone will be able to fix the annoying instant acceleration. Also the instant break, more noticeable with the Quadra Turbo-R, as it slams on the breaks if you let go of the gas in low gear. You should be able to coast in gear, eventually going into neutral to avoid stalling the engine.
I would like realistic handling in this game, acceleration, breaking, gearbox, suspension, etc.
No, that variable represents the resistance of the drive train at low velocity. It's what makes the car come to a stop on its own if you stop pressing any pedal. If you turn this off, the car will just keep on rolling at very low speed forever.
Don't work as non of the above mentioned (don't know what it does), i have had it in my .ini a long time and it don't solve the auto brake at low speed or let the car roll on forever at low speed.
You could try to fine tune your global deceleration input value in "r6/config/inputmapping.xml", it makes your brakes less effective but softer at low speed.
You have to anticipate a little more but you won't screech for nothing anymore (0.5 is probably a little too much dampening though, it was to make you feel the difference, you should find your sweet spot with higher values).
You can do the same with acceleration by giving slightly lower values :
IDK if its the mod or the car but is anyone else getting the worst framerates while driving the fastest cars in the game? Trying to figure out if its just t hat the cars are too fast for rendering to stay at its max possible. I was driving the rayfield in coast view when i got like 12fps for a lil while. Switched back to my type 66 and still had the framerates droopin.
Also, in 3rd person driving thru intersections I'm getting the out of car t pose bug rearing its head again. I actually only saw this once before today but that was on 1.03...

GTA doesn't do that, or has a turn-off option.
Why fill someones Mod comment section with off topic stuff?
Better Minimap

try adding this. No idea if that fixes the "instant break", but kinda sounds like it.

Search for :
<mapping name="Deceleration_Axis" type="Axis" >
<button id="IK_Pad_LeftTrigger" />
<button id="IK_S" val="1.0" overridableUI="vehicleDecelrate"/>
For example, to get 50% of the brake power for gamepad and keyboard, make these changes :
<mapping name="Deceleration_Axis" type="Axis" >
<button id="IK_Pad_LeftTrigger" val="0.5"/>
<button id="IK_S" val="0.5" overridableUI="vehicleDecelrate"/>
