Whatever weirdness happened with the bloom system in 2.0+ was really irritating, visually. Thanks for providing how to do this.
One caveat:
In the current version of the game, the relevant file is rendeing.ini (I learned this through Distant Fog Removal mod).
Nevermind, apparently it doesn't matter what the file's named, other than "*.ini". I guess CDPR wanted a place where the engine could have multiple dev-installed INI files that could be used for this massive list of globals, without having to worry about who was checking out / committing to this or that.
Green tint are still in game even after bloom was removed. It is clearly visible on your picture too. So it removes only bloom not the green tint. Wrong mod name.
Did you bother to read the mod title? It says bloom and green tint removal. So, yeah, GeneticResearch is right, the mods name is wrong. Green tint stays there, only the bloom gone.
I like the bloom, and feel that the green tint add to the Cyberpunk feel. Look at Bladerunner. There's a tint to almost every frame in the film. It happens in real life anyway. Smog and pollution would lend a certain tint to the air. Not sure why you'd want to remove it.
it's extremely subtle irl. And lights have flares instead of a bloomy glow unless there's heavy fog around. But I can def see it. Games like this and RDR2 exaggerate it. Great mod to tone it down to realistic levels.
i like the bloom too... a lot! but if somehow we could alter just the bloom RGB values, we could correct it and even tone it down by lowering those RGB values. Would be a valuable find if we could locate and alter that bit of code
I don't understand why you'd hop on a mod you whose premise you don't like to leave a comment saying you don't like it. Nobody cares, man, it's just irritating.
Well... they show up cause people are curious about the exact nature of the mod? We're all basically customizing the game to our experience now. This is a modding community... We're allowed to critique mods if it doesn't suit our desires or report bugs. The mod creator could make changes or continue down their path, its their mod ultimately. The original guy didn't even talk s#*! about the mod, he just said he enjoyed the bloom and stated the reasons why he believes the tint is valid from his perspective. He's not asking for a change or putting down the modder. chill tf out.
