Doesn't work in Challenges. And doesn't work if you continue playing after doing Challenges. You must first exit the game and restart it. And as others have said, it can stop working after cinematics/scripted events/cutscenes. Restarting the game fixes it. Edit/Update: Haven't done extensive testing, but I think dying might fix it as well.
Not a dumb question (or if it is, then my answer is dumb too lol, but i don't care heheh). I also noticed that trophy, so clearly it cannot be achieved if your bike cannot be damaged. In my case: before i installed the god-mode-bike mod i just lost a tiny amount of time hitting my bike to a house/wall/tree and repairing it , only after getting the trophy i installed that mod.
PS: alternatively, how about using a trainer (if you happen to be on PC of course)? I use Fling's multi version trainer and works flawlessly.
Re all. So there is a glitch -> this mod can be inactivated by SOME scripted events/cutscenes (for eg - in my case, it was after i met Tucker for the first time and rode in her golf cart). It appears the solution is as simple as is for the invincible bike mod (which encounters the same bug) -> just exit the game to desktop and restart it, problem will be fixed! Happy hunting (drifting)!

Or is there a hack to use scrap for "use 100 scrap" repairing your bike?
