Make sure that you're enabling it in the game after downloading it by checking it in the Mods option on the title screen. Is currently working for me, after i panicked with the same problem.
thank you!! god I don't know why devs insist on putting inventory limits in games, it's such stupid unnecessary hassle, especially in game that's already so complicated with inventory and technicalities. no one needs it. it's not like other things about fantasy games are realistic.
Worked like a charm. I can't imagine how people play without it. Even with the mod enabled (400 kilos limit) my main archer character kept getting over the limit pretty often because of all the accumulated ingredients/potions/scrolls/etc. Combat is amazing in this game but managing your inventory outside of combat in both DOS and DOS 2 is one of the most unpleasant things in games I've ever experienced.
Hey, got a bug to report, tho I am almost 100% certain this is the game and not the mod.
Have seen this in multiple places, but the one that stands out the most is in the inventory, and very much so when you use inventory mods.
Bug: If you have more than 999 carry capacity, it will only show the first 3 digits. So if your bag is filled with 415 weight points, and you have 1300 carry capacity, then it will look like this=> "415/130", it should show this "415/1300".
The arrow that you can press to minimize the inventory of a character is blocking the last digit, I do not know how this looks like with 5 digits or more. There are a very large empty space in the character inventory bar, so being able to extend the amount of digits shown to about 10 instead of 3 shouldnt be an issue. This also helps mods that increases carry weight and/or has items that have insane weight to them.
If there is a UI fix out there? Or perhaps you can come up with a fix for this, idk. I'm not a modder, simply a user of mods, awesome work tho, the mod works perfectly, except for the little UI issue, which is annoying, but most likely not caused by the mod.
I am actually not familiar with your language, only the Korpiklaani song "viinamäen mies" :D (and I follow many other Suomi metal bands for that matter)
But if Google translate serves me well I understand you stock your inventory like an Ikea warehouse!

A short explanation of where/how to install the mod would be nice for the beginners.

"Olen viinamäen mies
Koko ranta raikaa ja kainalot on hies!"
Siel menee jokaisen omaisuudestaan varomattoman henkilön lautaset, tuolit ja tynnyrit taskuun... x3
