as an alternative solution, all computer game ui designers who think it's a good idea to hardcode ESC key to in-game interactions while ignoring secondary mouse button most of the time deserve jail time of 8-10 days.
DEAR UI DESIGNERS, ESCAPE KEY SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR RETURNING TO A GAME'S MAIN MENU. ALSO:
Works great on 1.9.6 royale edition Edit: unfortunately this mod seems to interfere with the minimalistic hud mod (extented keys version) it disables minimalistic's hud controls and torch toggle
To anyone else who might have this or a similar issue, for some reason when I started using mod_order.txt to manage mod load order this mod stopped working. It was neither detected nor loaded, according to the console. I fixed that by following Obanon' example and placing the "MRB.pak" file into "KingdomComeDeliverance\Data\_fastload"
Very nice idea and would most definitely use it, but it seems it dosen't work for me. Maybe some other mod is clashing with this one. One thing i noticed that esc bind in the controls section is grayed out, but i think this is what it should be?
I had a lot of trouble getting this to work, but after trying 0banon's idea as well as copying the .pak into the KCD\Data folder it started working. Thing is that it kept doing so after I deleted both those extras. Weird.
Anywho, I also use the torch toggle mod and when RMB started working, the "1" key became the torch toggle and "3" did nothing. Instead of drawing my melee weapon, I drew my torch! I poked around the mod's .XML file and found the torch toggle command lines nested under the weapon toggle. Fixing it was as easy as cutting them out into their own set of commands for the "3" key with the proper labels. Obvi, you have to extract the .XML from the .pak to conduct the edit and then put it back. (Just BTW, this is why I deleted the other two copies I mentioned earlier. I needed to know which was functioning in order to fix the problem).
In other words, copy/extract and open the "keybindSuperactions.xml" in the .pak and find this block of code: --- <superaction name="weapon1" ui_group="combat" ui_name="@ui_keybinds_primary_weapon" ui_tooltip="" keyboard="writeable"> <action name="toggle_torch" map="player" /> <action name="toggle_torch" map="horse" /> <action name="weapon_set1" map="player" /> <action name="weapon_set1" map="horse" /> <control input="1" controller="keyboard" /> </superaction> --- And replace it with this: <superaction name="weapon1" ui_group="combat" ui_name="@ui_keybinds_primary_weapon" ui_tooltip="" keyboard="writeable"> <action name="weapon_set1" map="player" /> <action name="weapon_set1" map="horse" /> <control input="1" controller="keyboard" /> </superaction>
What is exactly the difference between the two available version? I tested the one with right click + escape, and while it does work, I notice it also remove Esc from the menu binding (and I see it's the intended result) Does this also happen in the simple "only right click" version?
If yes, can I rebind esc to the menu? I see the option for it in the control options, but it cannot be changed in-game?

In other words, copy/extract and open the "keybindSuperactions.xml" in the .pak and find this block of code:
---
<superaction name="weapon1" ui_group="combat" ui_name="@ui_keybinds_primary_weapon" ui_tooltip="" keyboard="writeable">
<action name="toggle_torch" map="player" />
<action name="toggle_torch" map="horse" />
<action name="weapon_set1" map="player" />
<action name="weapon_set1" map="horse" />
<control input="1" controller="keyboard" />
</superaction>
---
And replace it with this:
<superaction name="weapon1" ui_group="combat" ui_name="@ui_keybinds_primary_weapon" ui_tooltip="" keyboard="writeable">
<action name="weapon_set1" map="player" />
<action name="weapon_set1" map="horse" />
<control input="1" controller="keyboard" />
</superaction>
<superaction name="torch" ui_group="combat" ui_name="@ui_keybinds_primary_weapon" ui_tooltip="" keyboard="writeable">
<action name="toggle_torch" map="player" />
<action name="toggle_torch" map="horse" />
<control input="3" controller="keyboard" />
</superaction>
Save the edited file, delete the original from the .pak and place the edited file in the .pak.
Enjoy!
