I actually had severe issues with Casino Crowds. I'm playing the game with over 400 mods and Populated Casinos seems to have no issue at all while Casino Crowds caused severe crashing issues with The Tops and especially throughout the Gomorrah Casino. I'm sure Casino Crowds is fine on its own, but I believe it has some sort of major incompatibilities.

I am saying this after literally dozens of hours of testing. I understand how dated Populated Casinos is, but from my experience I recommend Populated Casinos over Casino Crowds.

Edit: I tested out Populated Strip Freeside and Casinos, which is a modern version of Populated Casinos and it works extremely well. Populated Strip Freeside and Casinos has compatibility with FPGE. The mod page says it's not compatible with Simple Open Freeside, but I believe it technically is. It simply adds so many NPCs that you will probably experience FPS drops in Freeside, but even though I have Simple Open Freeside my FPS only drops to about 30.

Everybody's game is different not everybody is running the same mods I personally never had any issues with Casino Crowds the guide viva new Vegas actually recommends to not use this mod (Populated Casinos) read more here Mods to Avoid | Viva New Vegas (moddinglinked.com) its ultimately up to you it's your game.

Problem I have with crowds is that all of the NPC's are scripted to stand in one spot/play a animation and nothing else. gets old very fast.
Personally cleaned this with Xedit and get no errors from LOOT anymore after doing so, good enough for me.

Right but, I wouldn't always trust what loot says I personally stopped using population mods except The Living Desert which adds npc's based on your decisions and thinking about getting into FPGE since it still lets you play, after you beat the game and both mods are compatible with each other currently I'm enjoying starfield right now.

This mod is much worse than populated casinos, like it's not even close, a lot of NPCs added to spots that make no sense, doing things that make no sense, like clapping in front of tents in gomorrah, it's just bad

It's a nice mod, I like the new lively atmosphere of the Strip casinos BUT it can multiply the loading time length on s#*! PCs (like mine lol). If I were to guess it's simply because of the game trying to load many actors together (and probably why the devs decided to have original casinos as barren as they are).

Very welcoming to have these casinos be more thriving, the only issue is that there might be some problems using this mod in tandem with other mods that adds extra npc activity to these casino. For example, using this in tandem with Adult Club New Vegas and Simply Uncut leads to my game crashing when entering the Gomorrah.

"Just stick the esp in your data folder and check in data files."

What is meant by "check in data files"?

Open New Vegas Launcher, click on "Data files", check the .esp box in the list that appears

    Thanks a lot.
The LIGHT version of the mod is the perfect one for me, not only in performance (my computer was having its disagrements with the normal version), but in the amout of people present. Freeside seems pretty empty as a settlement, and its surroundings are dangerous, so I imagine these many costumers are what feels correct would show up to see the shows and be able to afford the price or the trip to get there.

    On a side note:
I found that the light version created NPCs with less varied attires than the normal version. All but one male had the same elegant tuxedo and all females wore the same dress and hairdo.
Of course that does not affect my immersion, but I thought it was prudent to mention it here, just in case there is something there that needs tweeking.

Still, my ample thanks for your efforts because little details like this do make an enormous difference in my playthroughs.
    Much obliged.
