BTW for those of you, who might wanna wish to change the forced scripted "N" key used for manual activation of night vision mode you can simply do that by editing an entry in the GECK called - "LFoxNightVisionQuestScript" by changing the letter "N" in the line - "int bIsNPressed" into the letter of your choice (for example i choose "Z" instead of "N", so my line looked like this - int bIsZPressed). The next step you wanna do is change every "bIsNPressed" line appearing in this script to reflect the letter you changed it to, when editing the "int bIsNPressed" line initially (in my case it was "Z" key, so every "bIsNPressed" line appearing further in the script i changed to "bIsZPressed" instead!). Then you should check the numeric code of the keyboard (which number is assigned to each keyboard letter) in google pictures for example of the google search to see which number you should change it to in the "IsKeyPressed 49" line, in my case it's "44" (-5 reading from right to left side of the keyboard), so that's how i got it changed to "Z" letter! Check how numbers look according to the example you found in the google images if you want it used on another letter, than what i assigned it to and change it accordingly! Right after "IsKeyPressed 49" line (now "49" will be your number instead) there is another "N" letter alone right after ";", change that to the letter of your choice as well! Do the same thing for the "Set" command line right below "If" condition command by changing "N" to the letter of your choice in the end as well! And finally change "N has been pressed" before and after "else" to once again the letter of your choice and you are done! If you use "Low Brightness" esp (like i do, because my nights aren't that dark to begin with as i use "low brightness" setting with my RWL weather mod as an additional .esp), then you should do all the edit for THAT one instead of the regular .esp, that comes with this mod!
Furthermore if the constant pop-up message annoys you and ruin your convenience (like it does in my case) and you simply want night vision mode being activated without additional junk popping up polluting the screen, then open the - "LFoxNightVisionAddonEffectScript" script file entry and look for the lines, that reads "ShowMessage LFoxNightVisionAddonOFFMsg" and "LFoxNightVisionAddonONMsg" respectively and simply delete those lines everywhere they are mentioned in that script entry and you are all set! You don't have to physically delete the entry files itselves, controlling those messages, you can leave it, script will simply stop reffering to them once you remove the aforementioned corresponding lines from "EffectScript" entry, but if you want you can still delete them in the GECK, it's up to you! But it isn't required for the messages to stop popping up!...Hope i didn't make it sound overly complicated and hope it helped people like me, looking for the samll convenient script changes!...Good luck!

I like how this is a "implant" and has a clear option.

Something like this should be accessible from the start of the game, i would relocate immediately to the Doc house, since this is the item of pure convenience and doesn't affect the character's performance and since this isn't a cheat this should be available very early on...i feel like i have to endure many dark nights with lighting mods installed, which tends to usually make nights much darker until i will be able to reach Usanagi's clinic, it's a far too long road for an item, that is of a simple convenience, not to mention it costs 2.5k caps to purchase, which is imho way too much...
...please consider relocating to Doc's house! And yes it should be absolutely of no charge at all imho! I don't have to pay for a pip-boy at the start of the game, i don't see why i would have to pay for an item, that provides no combat advantages, but is meant for a mere convenience of the user...
...Also imho - Clear "color" is the best "color" of this, simple reason is - it prevents everything from looking monotone because of a single color, while brighting up the entire map so that you could see clearly at night time...For indoors - it is way too excessive though...i'm just using regular pip-boy in indoor locations, boosted by "dynamic pip-boy" mod here on Nexus, that have options to increase range and brightness for pip-boy and offers the option to adjust indoors and outdoors separately...

Turning it into an earing or something similar should you let hotkey it without NVSE. Really like the choices in vision, and the only "issue" I have is self inflicted since I'm the one choosing not to use 1.5

Edit: It worked, gonna see if I can cannibalize Sprint's menu scripts to get rid of the Config item. For some reason I have to double tap it for the effect to turn on or off, though it's good for preventing "butt dials".

I recommend anyone with the GECK make their Config and the Implant a Quest item

Can anyone make it so that the night vision implant options in the aid menu don't get taken out of your inventory when you get stripped of all items for certain quests, like the beginning of Dead Money?

For anyone having issues with this, you can just open the forms for the two items in the GECK and click the "quest item" box.

I love this app, it's always one of the first I install on a new run through, but the past couple of days I've been having an issue when the effect doesn't want to turn off. I have it set up as a hotkey. When I go to get out of it, it turns a bright white when you can just see the outlines of somethings. I've tried disabling it, changing the color. Going into certain bildings clears it up, but as soon as I go back outside again the issue reappears. Anyone else?

Mega thing! Thanks a lot! I changed your mod a little for my needs: made White version look desaturated, not just B/W. Endorsed!

Thank you for this mod. Tried others which required either replacing my sunglasses, Pip-Boy or wearing some ugly helmet. With yours, my characters can dress however they want. THANK YOU THANK YOU Did I thank you already? lmao
