I was looking for a combat oriented mod and this was pretty fun. Even things I normally dislike like scripted ambushes are done in a way that makes sense and feels fair (not like NVB's "teleports behind u"). The only part I didn't enjoy was the vault with the meatiest ghouls I've ever seen. That aside it was a fun ride.
Had a lot of fun playing this mod, sometimes I prefer the heavy combat mods and this one was good. The enemy did seem to actually fight back, IE missiles and explosives and entrenched enemies behind cover.
The ghost stuff was entertaining as well, nice add. By the end of the mod I was rather expecting the enemy to have circled behind my flanks but I was rather disappointed that they hadn't "surrounded me" lol
The biggest disappointment to me was that someone promised to kill me but all that happened was they fed me some gecko steak dinners. Oh well. I will play this through again.
Working with the latest files (Feb 2022) the game crashes every time I get near the deceased Geshute chieftan. Cannot find the key or the mask needed and the quest will not update i.e. it still says I need to kill the chieftan.
Sadly, not as what I have expected in mind. A boring, too-much-combat mod with a weak story around it. Even if you want this to combat-oriented then at least put some new weapons on it.
But anyway, I love the Catacombs section, the atmosphere, the dungeon, the loot, and stuff. Should have made a mod around it, explore and expand the Catacombs and I would love to play it!
Negatives: -Kinda boring, corridors filled with bullet spunges, more a chore than a challenge - Scenario is quite forgetable -Perfomance issues -Lore breaking (but that's never my main concern) Positives: -Unique architecture -Valuable rewards -Valuable loot -Spooky atmosphere in some parts
Had some Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Clive Barker's Undying vibes in it. Scary visions from the past, hidden gold bars in the Catacombs, skeletal ghouls.
Anyone else having problems with missing armor meshes? Done the whole process of LOOT, Edit, ect. but no fix. Also reinstalled twice, but running out of ideas.
Downloaded this mod a year or so ago and ran smoothly, hope it is not a conflict of some sort. Thanks!
EDIT: Tried playing this ignoring the missing armor. But now I've run into a much bigger problem. Every door in the Vault is missing and has an exclamation mark, along with a handful of things outside in the main areas (entrance, auction area, ect.) I can no longer continue the overall mod, as the elevator door is missing. I've downloaded this mod properly and to the tee, but cannot work out what's causing these problems. If it helps, it's the main body armor of the guards and Vault Ghouls that are invisible, the helmets are not. I'm suspecting a mod conflict, just can't work out which one.
