Not sure if this has been answered yet but does anyone know how to get the glow effect on the helmets to work (i.e.- ranger helmet, riot gear helmet, basically anything modeled after the NCR ranger helmet)? I've seen in other users photos that there's a glow a effect on the helmets but can't figure out how to turn it on, any help would be greatly appreciated.
hey, im kinda new to modding so this could be 100% my fault or even a vanilla bug, but since ADAM affects ranger armors i figured i should ask... i was playing lonesome road and got to the crow's nest to loot that sweet advanced riot gear but the corpse wasn't there, im not sure if for whatever reason since this mod replaces the models it could've bugged out or didn't spawn?? again im not sure if it could be an issue with the mod, sorry
Edit: ok i looked it up on the wiki and apparently it can just fall off when you detonate the warhead. thanks bethesda engine
Reminds me of when I first started making ADAM Reborn and found out the old Rangers on Patrol module had a Veteran Ranger with a rocket launcher spawn on top of a broken piece of highway that had no collision geometry, so he would basically spawn in mid air, drop-down, die and leave a bunch of incredibly valuable loot. 🙃
I am having an issue where the (pardon my lack of a better term) the "pointy metal thing" that usaully comes out the gas mask for the helmets is actually sticking out near the middle of the helmet near the eyes. it stays like this regardless whether i pick the "original" or "alternate" versions of the helmet. anyy ideas for a fix? ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still no luck that little "pointy" thing still glitches out
Is something overwriting the mesh? The alternate version of the Riot Gear Helmet literally has no "antenna" in the mesh, and it shouldn't be possible for the antenna to be moved outside of the mesh either. Could you attach a screenshot if you don't find anything overwriting it?
Nothing seems to be overwriting the mod. And i apologize for the innconveinence but i dont know how to attach a screen shot here :(. all i can say is the antenna is coming out above the mouthpiece where the "nose" would be.
For some reason, it looks like the Elite Riot gear is using the Advanced riot gears texture. It looks like the mesh is too big for the armor texture, and the colors arent the lighter / faded green but the dark green instead. All I did was select the complete version and have tried several times to reinstall and redownload.
Edit: This appears to specifically be an issue with the mesh when using the "improved coats" add-on in the complete option or enabling it in the custom install option, it could also be because I am using a female character (in combination with the above) I also noticed that with the "improved coats" the armor was much more conformed to the, shape of the characters chest, making the breasts much more prominent
does anyone know if there is a way to get just the additional armors (nemesis pack, outcast, custom) but have the rest of the textures be left out?
I think the different riot gears were retextured to be more similar to one another to give off the impression of a more linear progression.
If you don't like the way the coats hug female bodies, you can just untick the improved coats add-on in the FOMOD or overwrite the meshes with another mod like Natural Duster Coats (Natural Duster Coats won't affect armors in the Nemesis Pack).
If you don't like the mesh and texture edits from this mod, you can just install another mod that retextures or meshes the armors and have it overwrite ADAM Reborn. Otherwise, you're gonna have to comb through the mod in MO2 and hide or delete any retextures you don't want.
I tried looking at the meshes and I couldn't make out what you mean by it being too big for the armor texture. They are, indeed, as Zictox points out much more similar in ADAM's retextures, but it is using different textures correctly (the shoulders will look different, and the Elite version is actually slightly more green on the coat, but much less so than vanilla).
You can delete the meshes from ADAM if you want default textures, as the default meshes will not look for the textures in the "Textures\ADAM" folder, thus they'll just lie there unused.
sorry for not explaining it very well, I wasn't able to get any screen shots last night.

You can see that on a female character the mesh, especially for the shoulder armor look very weird. If I select the custom install option and leave out the improved coats add-on it sort of goes away, as it looks like it just changes the body into the male version
Thank you so much for the screenshots, I see exactly what you mean by the mesh being too big for the texture now! It appears it has a bit of a mistake in the UV map (the map that tells the game which part of the texture goes onto which part of the mesh) so that part of the mesh is directed to a black portion outside of the actual pauldron in the texture. I should be able to look at it tomorrow and make a hotfix, as it doesn't require anything more than NifSkope to fix.
hey so it seems that if you have the titans of the new west 2.0 mod installed, the electrified ranger armor uses t-45 power armor gloves, which make them look big and chunky, ruining the look of the set. Anyone have a solution to this? Uninstalling TOTW would mess my save up.
@Zictox, the armor uses a glovelist you can access in the GECK. I don't recall whether there's a limited set of gloves that can be added or not, but the alternatives are probably: (1) create a new glovelist in the GECK and add a copy of the vanilla meshes (might have to extract them from the bsa) named differently, or (2) create a patch that changes the Electrified Riot Gear to use the default ranger gloves and make it an optional plugin for users of TOTW.
darthbdaman would probably know how to script something that detects TOTW and changes the gloves if the mod is detected, but I've been gone from scripting from so long I don't remember how to do that myself, nor do I know if he's active anymore unfortunately.
hoping to get a patch for physcally based rangers, because the armor from this is very cool, but it doesnt go well with the physically based ranger mod
While I agree, that kind of defeats the purpose as a huge part of the mod is being a texture / mesh replacer. Theoretically you could install both and then just hide / delete the mesh and textures from this mod and have the Physically based Ranger mod load afterwards. Just make sure you dont delete or the new armors.
(I did something similar with Ojo Bueno and Poco Bueno for the higher quality Securitron texture and mesh in Ojo with the stability and performance of Poco
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! This is not what i was expecting to see on the updated section of FNV Nexus! but nonetheless im pleased! Thank you for updating this mod!
