So, for some reason, and maybe it's just mods that I have installed interacting unpredictably, but the .esp in this mod seems to make songs get stuck on the radio. As in, a song will play, and then after it's done, it will just play again. I had to delete the .esp to get this to stop happening.
Edit: and now the jukebox in the Prospector Saloon is playing the default songs. I had assumed that replacing the songs would replace them throughout the game, but I guess not. That's not ideal. Guess I have to go see if I can find another mod that will silence all radios and jukeboxes.
Sorry to necro your old post, but I've recently tried to get this mod to work and seem to be having the same exact issues that you were having, yet even deleting the esp file hasn't seemed to fix the issue. Sometimes it feels like it's only certain songs that repeat and only when they play on certain stations, but I haven't been able to test it that far. Were you ever able to officially fix the issue, or is there a version of this mod available elsewhere that's up to date and solves this problem? It's been driving me crazy.
Is there any chance you may update this mod to try to address these issues in the future? If I get back to streaming New Vegas, it would certainly be helpful to not have to worry about having all music turned off.
Hey! Just wanted to let you know I received a copyright claim from We are Era Music BV on the song Tequila Barbie by Lobo Loco. Thankfully, it only played for a couple minutes so I was able to trim it out with the YouTube editor l, but thought you and other YouTubers may want to know
I got a claim flag for Manhattan and Wonderland Romance the flag showed them as Gerhard Trede. I have it exclusively tuned into new vegas radio so need to know if those are covers as well and who they are covered by. If not covers then I will just need to leave the claims as there are no restrictions on them at this time fortunately. Any info you, or anyone else, have on this would be wonderful.
After reading this comment and previewing the mod file contents and seeing that it included music files with the same names as the original game files, I decided to try and find music from the YouTube Audio Library to replace these songs with manually.
Both of these are marked No Attribution Required. I chose Busy City by TrackTribe to take the place of Manhattan and 1940's Slow Dance by Doug Maxwell/Media Right Productions to take the place of Wonderland Romance.
I've renamed the new files with the names of the game files, specifically MUS_Manhattan.mp3 and MUS_Strahlende_Trompete.mp3 (which is the song that you got the flag for as Wonderland Romance). I'm going to insert them into ...steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Sound\songs\radionv and hopefully they should play instead of the original files when I get around to them in the game. I'll report back if that works. Edit: It did!
One more thing-- I advise everyone before installing this mod (or closing the game so that Vortex can allow the mods to take effect) to make a backup of the "radionv" folder at the path I mentioned above so that if you want to switch back to the original songs, you can easily do that.
two questions. 1. are these tracks still creative commons? i dont know how CC licensing works if its the same as specific song licenses, and 2. how much music is on this station? it would be nice to get an hour or two worth of music here to prevent repetitive listening.
all in all though, love to see stuff like this, ive been wanting to do my first playthrough of this game on stream and have been worried about this
Thank you so much for making this! I'd do it myself but I've never made a mod in my life and wouldn't know where to begin. It's unfortunate that they didn't make original music for the radios themselves with the themes they are trying to go for.
Hey yall, little late to the party here lol. But I seem to be having some trouble getting this mod to work? I'm using Vortex, and its all enabled and everything, but pretty much every single normal song still plays
I was having the same problems. Turns out, at least for me, Vortex doesn't do crap for New Vegas mods, at least not well. You have to manually install is, for which you just drag and drop the files into the Data folder. For me at least, my folder is at D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data . All that should be the same, except for where the Steam folder is located.
