Load order is important. Always re-compile ReShade after toggling effects on or off, there's a dedicated key option under ReShade's settings. Order: Bloom, SMAA, LUT, HDR, quintSHARP, Gussian Blur and Deband.
For Witcher 3 users: SMAA does not mix well with MSAA. I spent a lot of time fine tuning the settings in this preset, but it was obviously also designed on a lighting mod that will differ from yours, and graphical settings that will differ as well, but I have found it to be basically plug and play for every single game I play. I just makes everything appear like it's 2k/4k when playing at 1080p and the LUT I created enhances and shifts some of the colours slightly, but keeps the underlying atmosphere of the game or lighting mod.
I'm sorry for only replying to this now, I haven't been active for a while. I'm still using this same preset, I usually play around between using SMAA from ReShade or the in-game AA, depending on how they impact both the visuals and the performance. For Witcher 3 I only use the in-game anti aliasing, not even the TAA at the moment, as my system needs an upgrade and I'm trying to squeeze as much fps out as I can.
For brightness I adjust the in-game gamma usually, but you can also mess around with the settings in HDR and LUT, if you disable performance mode. I can't remember all the little details, I spent some time on forums figuring out stuff and once I had it to my liking I just kept using it everywhere.
