- Major improvements on the existing code to make the mod run better and faster. - All arrows of DLCs (if installed) are now automatically included in the default settings. - Known (and unknown) bugs / issues have been fixed. - Firewood is no longer renamed by one of the arrows pieces.
Question: Does this mod work with SkyUI? If so, is it mandatory? Answer: The mod is compatible, however it is not mandatory.
Question: Will this work in conjunction with the [xxx] mod? Answer: This mod has been designed so as to not change anything to the vanilla game. Therefore, there is no risk of conflict with another mods.
Question: Is this mod compatible with mods adding/modifying arrows & bolts? Answer: As said above, A.R.S.O does not modify or add arrows and is thus compatible with every other mod.
Question: All of the arrows in my game aren't available in the mod parameters, what should I do? Answer: You must equip or have in your inventory each type of non-vanilla arrow at least once for it to be recognized by A.R.S.O.
Question: Proximity arrow retrieval takes a long time, what should I do? Answer: If you have checked the option "Retrieve arrows off corpses", try unchecking it.
Question: The arrows of a mod that I wish to uninstall are now part of the A.R.S.O parameters, will this cause a problem with my game? Answer:A.R.S.O automatically updates its parameters if it notices a change in mod files, no problems should be had.
Question: I wish to uninstall A.R.S.O, will this create errors in my save file? Answer: You may uninstall A.R.S.O without fear of damaging your save file.
Question: What about the load order? Answer: You can put A.R.S.O where you want in your list, it does not matter at all.
:) If you like this mod, don't forget to support it! :)
After quite a bit of elimination testing, for those having issues, if you're using Reproccer, try disabling the related esp files.
For me at least, when ReProccer is enabled, ARSO stops functioning. Disable it, and voila, fixed! This is true whether ARSO is loaded before or after ReProccer.
So the ReProccer is creating a change that is somehow breaking ARSO. Tested this with a very minimal configuration but with all SkyRE mods loaded. The only diff between working and not is ReProccer being activated.
Update: It appears that you can specify to not patch projectiles in the ReProccer options. Disabling that option seems to be the ticket to allowing ARSO to work again. AOE approach, but it works =)
Ten years on, I'm back to play Skyrim again and wouldn't you know it, encountered the exact same problem, but forgot the answer until just now seeing my own post. Too funny!
Not sure if is intended, but for reason, I can recraft the dragonbone arrow pieces that I got from some stores without having the dragon smithing perk. Not a problem, just something I noticed.
Unrelated to my other post probably, but I have recently gotten the Hunter's Disciple perk, and it seems to have made arrows break more often, or at least it appears that way for Dragonbone arrows. Despite them still being set to 100% resistance, I am getting broken pieces out of enemies rather often.
is there anyway to mix and match the arrows/ arrow heads. what i mean is go alil further into the arrow O/H like have ether the arrow head brake (and have it better change to survive better it is (ie rock is iron) and same goes with the poll that the arrow head is on. or mix and match said broken arrow with a arrow of that part thats not borken ever the poll or arrow head
I have dozens of pieces of steel arrows and some firewood, but the option to repair steel arrows doesn't show up for me at the forge, even though the options for other arrows are there. Have reinstalled the mod and used LOOT to sort the load order, didn't work.
This mod suddenly isn't working for me at all. I've double- and triple-checked that everything is set up properly and reset the mod twice. But picking up an arrow from the environment gives me a broken arrow 100% of the time and the proximity collect and auto-collect functions don't work at all.
I'm having a strange interaction in my game. I think ARSO doesn't play nice with quickloot. Trying to store the arrow pieces in a container and then looking at the container gives a CTD.
Is this mod able to be updated to special edition or do you need to wait for the Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender? I used to rely on this mod so much that it was hard for me to transition to SE purely because of this mod. Keep up the good work with this and other mods.
I managed to port most of my mods on SSE, but this one can't be ported. There is too many core functions that needs SKSE to be able to run (such as the possibility to repair arrows at the forge).
As soon as the Script Extender will be ported to SSE (and sadly, it may never happen), this mod will also be ported.
At first I thought this mod wasn't working. Turns out that once I started swapping arrows, it kicked in. Perhaps I'm not yet familiar with the mechanics of how it is supposed to do its magic, but when I was target practicing with Nord and Iron arrows, it was extremely slow to pickup. Once I switched to Steel and others though, it would retrieve arrows and pieces at a very quick and steady pace automatically.
