    For any ideas to include in the next update of the mod, please comment below!

    * Small Garden
    * Idles for followers inside the house
    * Talos Shrine (Caius is a Talos worshipper with no shrine, HUGE oversight on my behalf)
    * Completely repairable house
    * Ability to enable and disable the BYOH Workstation for aesthetics when the building is finished or when added items are implemented

    It's already an amazing job - I was looking for a heartfire-style buildable home that is not a huge mansion and this looks perfect.
    However it would be nice if the whole roof was repairable to create a small cozy home for you and your spose or companion. Living in an open roof house in the cold land of Skyrim seems weird.

      Completely agree, but it looks like this mod was abandoned unfortunately.

      If look for a complete build this home try this mod Rervun SE - Starter Home, it lets you build it up and let you build some other homes up too, nothing major but still nice for starter house to keep you warm from the cold nights.?

    I'd like to say this is a wonderful mod and I do like the look of it. However I do find it a little disappointing you cannot fully repair the roof. Or does it require having a certain level, skill, or perk? Being able to build it from a beat up shack, to a livable but poorly patched, to finally a cozy little cottage would have been great showing the character's skill improving as they traveled. I understand this probably won't happen as you made it for yourself and decided to share it with others (Which I thank you for by the way.) but I have a couple suggestions for improvements if I may.

    * Ability to plant a small garden. Since Hearthfires is a requirement anyway adding in a little garden would let the Dragonborn sustain themselves by hunting game in the area and growing their own produce.

    * Ability to remove the workbench. Once all the upgrades have been completed the workbench remains serving no purpose.

      You bring up some good point, some of which I'm wanting to put into the mod at a later point. Unfortunately, I'm swamped with uni work since coming back a few weeks ago and I'm having to focus all my time on that. Once I get some free time, I'm going to look into adding more items to craft and requirements to a few of the recipes. The fully repaired house will, of course, be the one with the most requirements to be met. As an insight to the eventual next update though, I will be adding a garden to the house along with idling markers for any followers that you bring to the house. No determinable due date for the update though, uni has me bogged down for at least a few months leaving me to maybe have time to update over Christmas break.

      And of course, thanks for the support SamusKnight2K! Any more ideas to add or edit to the house will be greatly welcomed here and will be added to the pinned comment above!

      Okay cool! Let's see if maybe I can add some more...

      * A rollout sleeping bag for a single follower. Since this is supposed to be a simple little house it shouldn't have a bunch of sleeping quarters or room for separate followers.

      * A secret hidden cave built in the basement. This could be a place to hide if Thalmor come looking for Caius or a place to hide his shrine to Talos. You wouldn't want your shrine out in the open where Thalmor sympathizers could see it. Draws less attention to himself it it's out of view. Include an option to switch out the shrine in case the player isn't a believer of Talos. Alternatively this could also be used by players to store their most valuable goods like Daedric artifacts from the Vigilants of Stendaar.

      * If it doesn't already exist a lockdown on any player storage to prevent NPCs from looting your weapons during fights.

      * Making the basement expandable. After the house has been fully rebuilt the basement could be expanded to provide a storage for the player's trophies, a separate bedroom. (Disables the bed in the house, moving it to a separate chamber downstairs. For survival mode players so they get a fully rested bonus.)

      * A little stable outside the house. Now I'm not sure how well this one will work since your horse won't use it unless you dismount it there. Still it might look like a nice for aesthetics.

      Now as for fixes, I'd recommend moving the trap door. It's partially covered by the bed right now. The house could use some optimizations since it's outdoors. I noticed with everything built looking at the house from the fort side towards Whiterun caused some considerable FPS drops. I am using SMNIM however but no mods that add extra things to the exterior to Whiterun. This of course just could have been something on my end but since the house is outside the more objects you add the more the game will lag looking at the house. So keeping it simple is the key.

      +1 about the roof, but I don't care about the other things. Just the garden! I'd like to keep it simple.

    I adore the idea behind this mod and the home itself. Sadly, it doesn't work with the new survival mode. It's not considered "inside", so you always wake up with the "drained" status effect and have to sleep in an inn or other player home after all. Is it going to stay that way, or is there a way to turn the bed into an inside one somehow?
    (Not a modder myself, so I have no clue how easy or difficult that would be; just wondering if that's even on the table.)

      That wouldn't be possible without converting the house into an interior cell. The only thing I can suggest is building the basement and then getting a mod that lets you place portable sleeping bags. Drop one in the basement somewhere and then use that for now on.

      All right, I'll look into that then. Thanks for the quick answer.
      It's still a really cool starter home to have for role-playing

      There was a problem with the script file not working once I zipped the mod up for upload. Hopefully, the 1.2 update has fixed this. If so, please let me know

    I'm shocked no one's tried to make this home more available, but in the hearthfire way. See that you've done exactly that is pretty sweet.

      Thanks! It's always annoyed me walking past abandoned homes in-game that are in cool locations and not being able to do anything with them. The playthrough I'm doing right now helped me alleviate that problem just a little.

    Okay I like this idea. The place has always sat abandoned, and no mods ever try to make it livable so you're possibly the first to do so. Nice. Wonder why nobody ever did...

    Does this just replace the vanilla house with a backstory? Or do you build it yourself?

      It's a build it yourself like the Hearthfire houses
