Looks beautiful! I don't suppose you have a preset that you can share for your Iorveth character in the screenshots? I wish someone would bring that armor to SSE as well...it's perfect.
Doesn't seem to be recognized by mods that edit arrow speed such as ABT SE - Arrows and Bolts Tweaks Special Edition by Kevkas.Longbow draw speed is incredibly slow while the short-bow draw speed seems to be drawing at vanilla speed.
ATM they look very pretty but are unusable.
Checking the comments of the original release it seems that someone (piggi) mentioned this poorly and the author ignored it.
Smaller bow is faster but deals less damage, larger bow is slower and deals more damage. If that does not suit you... You can always edit the ESP and change it.
What properties of the bow would one change to get the draw speed, arrow speed etc, to allow an overhaul to correct it? I tried using xEdit to figure out how to do that, and couldn't find the setting. I love the bow, but it's way too slow for me. :)
It's been a while since you posted the question but draw speed can be found: Weapon > DNAM - Data > Speed (can also adjust damage and crit damage) Arrow speed can be found: Projectile > (arrow of your choice) > DATA - Data > Speed (also might want to tweak gravity as well).
Tbh they seem perfectly balanced to me. Sure, the longbow has a slower draw but packs a harder punch and the shortbow has a faster draw but even so it delivers a respectable damage. IMHO the author got this right. Why do you think that all the English archers at Agincourt were armed with longbows instead of shortbows? And in game terms it's perfect, in closed, confined areas where the action will take place at close quarters the shortbow is perfect, likewise for areas with lots of predators where a quick response is required. The longbow is a distance sniping weapon. These bows are an awesome combination when used properly.
love the short bow, but I notice an odd line of dots coming off it at a specific angle in 3rd person while the bow is on my back. I guess it's a slight texture glitch
Such an amazing bow! And even the animation is so good... I feel like the bow gets more and more power for the nice deadly shot awesome^^ What else from the Witcher
I don't know why I've never left a comment here since this is my favorite bow in game! It remains lore friendly as far as I'm concerned and once it's upgraded to legendary at the forge it's a killer. Add archery perks plus enchantment and enemies can go down very quickly....and quietly! Thanks for this!!!!
quick question why does NMM keep telling me theres a new version of this mod? its says new version is 1.0 but i have version 3.5 installed like what the hell is 1.0 the newer one or what
I just installed it using MO and it says the version number is 3.5. However, if you look above on this page you'll see the version number is 1.0. Since the mod author doesn't use either it's no surprise that the version number on the mod doesn't match that of the actual mod. I simply changed the version number in MO to match the 1.0 on this page. As long as the mod author updates the mod number on this page when he uploads a new version, I'll get notifications in MO.
**Hint, hint, Insaneplumber** ... you could change the mod number on this page to 3.5 to match the version in the mod or, as long as you update the mod version on this page whenever there's a new version, those of us that use MO or NMM will automatically be notified.
By the way ... great mod. It fits in the the game but still looks unique to make my PC feel special.

through all the years of playing, these are still my fav bows. Beautiful work!
Edit: I think I just have something weird happening with the numbers when I try to upgrade things in general. Nevermind.
