Status update Dec/10/2023: Small update to latest game version which may allow for possible ESP-FE/ESL version of AIO main. This is a precursor update before the next major update. I'm currently working on Skyblivion and therefore no current ETA on next update.
This project is open to anyone with published mods to continue actively updating it beyond 2.0. If you'd like to help maintain this mod pm myself or mnikjom.
Scripted and Lite versions are now available, please see the docs for more details.
Thanks to all for the feedback and the continued support with patches!

Spoiler:
Show
"Can we use AE version if we downgrade to SE?" -Yes. (Select AE 1.6.x option)
"What's the difference from Immersive Citizens-AIO and AIO?" -Does not edit navmesh or utilize the quest alias system (Main File). It is generally compatible with most of the popular mods. -Pure Radiant AI vs Quest directed AI (The engine handles the AI rather than a quest instructing them to do everything. AIO Lite uses a quest system to enhance AI) -Behavior wise AIO is more random and unpredictable vs ICAIO.
"Does this replace "x" mod?" -It could but probably not. It only edits NPC AI Data & packages. Most other AI mods use the quest alias which will overwrite some behaviors from AIO. -Example: AIO makes citizens more cautious when there is danger. "Run for your Lives" will override and make ALL NPCs go inside houses.
"Does this affect NPCs from other mods?" -No, Only Skyrim NPCs. Other NPCs & Followers will use the added idle markers. AIO Lite will work on extra NPCs inside Cities & Towns.
"Do they get eaten by dragons when traveling?" -No, traveling NPCs are protected.
"Safe to update/install mid-play through?" -Attempt at your own risk. Recommended to start a new game if you already had an AI overhaul mod installed. Do not save over old versions. Manually delete quicksave and make a new save and continue on from there. Wait 24 hours in game after updating main file to re-evaluate package data changes. -AIO Lite will require a new game or fresh save (mod was never active on) when updating.
"Can you make more radiant dialogue?" Radiant Dialogue SE -random radiant small talk with NPCs project.
Well my modlist is super short to be honest.Aside from a 2 dozen bug fixes and things like ussep etc.
I got : CRF,JK Skyrim all in one,Nether Follower framework,Ai OVerhaul,Serana dialogue addon,Audio Overhaul and finally Skyland AIO. As far as ı know none of these are incompatible with each other right ? ı also have all the necessary patches like ai overhaul crf and jk skyrim patch and also crf patch for JK skyrim
Hi! Thank you for the mod! I noticed that AI overhaul edits the Tint Layers for Crescius Caerellius and Briehl. Is there a reason for this? This doesn't really cause issues, but they are not carried over from USSEP or anything.
I also encountered Orthus Endario in Candlehearth Hall. Was cool to see him chill a bit with other people. But it was the first time my character met him. So when I talked to him, he told me that he's sorry about the look of the place and that I shouldn't hold it against the company. Does the East Empire Company own the Inn now? Lol. Thank you again for the mod! :D
Tint layers changes are accidental. You can forward USSEP changes in a patch if you want. Should be fixed in future. The second thing will be corrected in future (I'm not sure if in main plugin or in some addon). His vanilla dialogue don't have a location check, which causes this "problem" when combined with new ai packages. I'll move it to the bug reports.
I honestly tried to read the comments section, but still didn't find the answer. Is it compatible with Open Cities? More specifically, the older version of Open Cities which works with SkyrimVR (aka SkyrimSE 1.4.15).
P.S. I saw section said "most cities overhaul". But Open Cities is a little bigger than most overhauls, because it is not some "throw more trees in city" overhaul, it messes with navmeshes a lot.
Open Cities (and SREX) move the stuff from the interior cells to the Tamriel worldspace.
AI Overhaul puts some stuff in some interior cells to do its stuff (some idle markers and such). So no, won't work (completely, I guess) without a patch.
Yeah. Patch is needed for Open Cities. I'm not sure if there's any up to date patch for it tho. This one claims to be compatible with 1.8.4, which means that it doesn't include Whiterun fixes from 1.8.5.
For most mods my understanding is that it wont' matter. When a patch is made to reconcile two mods, it usually combines the aspects of both that conflict.
So color me stupid but I've looked around and is there a 1.5.97 compatible version that works WITH CC as well because I downgrade to 1.5.97 obviously but have the AE version of Skyrim, but prefer the 1.5.97 platform for modding.
I am using the 1.8.5 for SE Only version....which seems fine in the main game, but I'm concerned going into any of the CC content may have issues. I'm running a bajillion patches for AI Overhaul and I'm using Synthesis to ensure its records win all the arguments at the end of my load order but...still I'm concerned I may not be covering everything.
