You should be able to update pretty easily. 1. Uninstall anything from previous AGO versions. 2. Load your save and make a new Save 3. Install AGO 1.3.2 and if you use BFQ, install BFQ Support
You have to do this to update the scripts.
If above doesn't work:

1. Uninstall AGO files. 2. Load your game, make a new save in the menu (not quicksave), and exit the game. 3. Open a script cleaner like Save game script cleaner, open your save file, and delete any of the following scripts by selecting them and pressing Delete Script in the top left.
4. In the top right of the script cleaner, hit Save. Make a backup if you want. 5. Repeat this steps 2-4 for any other saves that have this mod installed. 6. Install the new version normally.
For those of you who just want to use the animations. You have two options:

Option 1. Install normally and disable everything in the MCM
Option 2. Only install the files from meshes/actors/ and meshes/weapons/. If you do this, the bow bash won't lodge arrows into other characters, and female characters won't have the right sized bows for the animations.
Anyone have a resolution for not being able to see the knocked arrow for the first person bow animation? Not getting any error or conflict popups and besides that the mod works as intended. Have already checked AGO fix in the Improved Camera menu in game but still the problem persists
I'm also wondering. A "stripped" version would be very nice. There've been a few great bow animations out there, but AGO gets in the way of most if not all of them.
The only feature i actually need from this is the automatic projectile removal.
Update: i've read on Reddit that you could delete all its animations and behavior files manually...and avoid activating its Nemesis/Fnis patches. I'll try that right away.
I have a love-hate relationship with this mod. It does so many things right that it's an essential part of my load order. It also does things like reverting the dual dagger power attack speed fix that USSEP implements because this mod has its own unique 1hmbehavior.hkx file. I love the animations so much, but that alone is enough to completely turn me off from keeping them. I've nuked all animations from this mod and will need to download animations from somewhere else (I don't typically like animation mods, so wish me luck).
I was having an issue with this mod moving my sneak indicator to the middle of the screen. I have updated the two relevant scripts to prevent this behavior. This may break the crosshair functionality of this mod, but it resolves my issue and doesn't seem to break anything else. Leaving these here for others since there are a number of posts about it in this thread.
The mod is beautiful, unfortunately in my case I won't be able to use it because it cancels the effect of the bow of shadows added in the Anniversary Edition, meaning that from the moment you extract it you are invisible for 30 seconds. In my case, with that specific PG, I made an entire build based on that bow effect, if the mod disables that effect, unfortunately I am forced, reluctantly, to have to uninstall it. I hope that this problem can be corrected in future upgrades.
I recently got back to Skyrim opting to go for a minimal mod setup and did not use this mod initially. I was surprised how awful archery is in vanilla. I just couldn't hit anything that was not in point blank range, arrows would always fall short. I started to hate using bows, until I remembered that I used to have this mod installed for so long, that the arrow mechanics from here became the de facto way I play the game.
Shooting an arrow makes it hit my own character every single time, unless it's in third person... If I disable the mod it crashes every save file that has the mod present, trying an old save file that didn't have the mod did not cause this issue. Any way to disable the animations but keep everything else?
Edit: Nevermind, deleted the animations files and now it works. One thing that's still present is walking is now stuttering, which is quite annoying... Edit 2: After a bit of gaming, the issue is back. :/ Edit 3: Tried reinstalling the mod entirely, now I may very well be forced to load back to a save that didn't use it, because it broke entirely..
Anyone know how to get this to work with improved camera? In first person two right arms (from both mods) kind of switch places constantly
!!Found it. there's in improved camera's config (SKSE\Plugins\ImprovedCameraSE\Profiles -> dann1) a line called 'archery gameplay overhaul' under 'fixes'. set the value to 1 and it's fixed!! ('improved camera ini tweaks')

This fixes an issue for FNIS users where the correct sneaking movement animations were not being used if alternate animations were installed.

Dunno about Vanilla but with Combat Mods and additional Enemies this is Hell...
This is still the best archery mod out there.
