INB4 the "it's too clean" comments - yes, consider it newly made. There are other high quality mods that make the axe rough and worn; this is simply an alternative.
And why does this ax have such a short handle? He played a girl - an orc. When chopping firewood, she held the handle with one hand and the air with the other!
It's beautiful, especially the wood pattern - feels almost like you can touch the smooth surface just by looking at it. I found this axe in a retexture-collection and decided to download it from the original author instead. All of your work looks amazing!
Very simple, but also very appreciated. I always thought the vanilla woodcutter axe was freaking massive, more in line with a battle axe than a practical tool. Thanks a lot.
I tried to do this. I failed in comparison. Awesome work!
I was hoping to someday make a small-beard, bearded axe that functioned as a wood cutting axe and a battle axe, but i don't know how to make an alternate/second wood cutter's axe (like the Ancient Nord Pickaxe - it doesn't replace the standard pickaxe and has extra functionality).
Yeah, the first image is from Sketchfab - I made it less shiny in-game so it blended in a bit more. The cubemap itself is fairly dark, so replacing that with a brighter one would make it shinier.

This mod is now featured on my True Graphics and Immersion List
EDIT Sorry I believe I misunderstood you.

Great remake~!
Looks different ingame from the shaders in the first pic. Stronger cubemap settings would be nice
to replicate it.
